System proxy not properly honored

Hi,

I'm setting a tor+privoxy environmet, when I configure the variables
system wide, tor works, privoxy is never used.

STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. Set /etc/env.d/99local, as per gentoo documentation, as:

http_proxy="localhost:8118"
https_proxy="localhost:8118"
ftp_proxy="localhost:8118"
socks_proxy="localhost:9050"
no_proxy="127.0.0.0/8, ::1, localhost, [...localnets, etc...]"

2. Run Falkon, and configure system proxy settings.
3. Check tor at https://check.torproject.org/ (This works)
4. Check privoxy usage https://config.privoxy.org (This doesn't).

OBSERVED RESULT

No privoxy.

EXPECTED RESULT

Privoxy + tor.

It was wayland, yes, currently my setup is this:

Operating System: Gentoo Linux
KDE Plasma Version: 5.22.4
KDE Frameworks Version: 5.85.0
Qt Version: 5.15.2
Kernel Version: 5.13.7-x86_64 (64-bit)
Graphics Platform: Wayland
Processors: 16 × AMD Ryzen 7 PRO 4750U with Radeon Graphics
Memory: 30.5 GiB of RAM
Graphics Processor: AMD RENOIR

In this setup starting sessions with the lid closed leaves the
screen black during all the session. I'll test what happen if
I enable the display, and perform the operation a few times,
however, I have no knowledge how to get the kwin backtrace,
so if you can point me the right info I surely want to provide
the traces.

Thanks!

While I agree with that, it is not clear to me this is a wrong system
configuration, as I rebuilt the system using mostly everything default,
even leaving locale to en_US, and merging wayland, plasma and libinput,
and I still got the same result. Regular TTYs does write the characters,
gtk apps writes them, just qt/plasma related ones doesn't.

Hi,

I regularly build my gentoo without pulseaudio, just alsa+jack. In
later updates I noticed falkon can't reproduce any audio this way,
nor any input works when I need to do some remote conference. I fail
to remember if I used only alsa a while ago when I knew it worked,
but I doubt it would be the case, as that wouldn't let me use other
software using sound at the same time. Other software like mumble
play nice with jack directly.

2020-09-15 Thread José Pekkarinen
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=413176

I'm inclined to think this bug that doesn't work even with the workaround
I found for a big while is actually a problem in Gentoo. I'm lately using
debian with plasma and ubuntu with the neon repository and there I can
write all characters without problem. Also, if I fire a gtk program like
seamonkey in Gentoo(regardless of being in plasma session), I can write
the characters correctly, so I'm not sure which piece gentoo doesn't
configure in Qt not to be recognized.

For what I understand, plasma itself has a way to store the
ca certificates for exceptions under system settings -> network
-> settings -> ssl preferences. That should produce any browser
that has desktop integration read the exception from there
and apply it on the fly, or at least it's supposed to work
with konqueror. The thing is that Falkon still doesn't seem
to support this integration, at least in 3.1.0, and all the
previous I tried failed the same.

As of plasma 5.19.5 with qt 5.15.0 and frameworks 5.73,
there is a dar mode style for kde that at least sets the
bars and tabs as expected, the pages keeps the same
looking though. In a hint I found on the net, launching
falkon with QTWEBENGINE_CHROMIUM_FLAGS=--force-dark-mode
will produce some webpages, like duckduckgo use the
dark mode, but not all webs will obey it. It would be good
to find a way to make it for all sites.

this turns out to be a mismatch between the locales of the system

In the region drop down, if I select a locale that is in the system
I can write é and ~ again, however, I cannot find several locales
defined in the system, like fi_FI.UTF-8, instead I find others not
defined like en_FI, so I'm not sure where is plamsa looking for the locales
but surely not in the default for the system.

Hi there,

Sorry for the long wait, I got some cycles to test it and it does the
trick for me. Any chance to get it in 5.0 branch?

Thanks for the work!

Corruption using latest gentoo ebuild.

For me it's kinda easy:

1) Open kmymoney.
2) Go to account tabs.
3) Open the wizard to create an account.
4) Select institution.
5) Name the account, and select it as asset account.
6) Select a parent account(not selecting a parent account several times
succeed)
7) Close the confirmation piece of the wizard.

That will produce the crash on the closure of the wizard.

José.

Hi,

I hit a kmymoney crash when trying to add a new assets account to my file.
Steps
to reproduce are the following:

1) Open kmymoney 5 with a file loaded which contains a couple of institutions
with several accounts.
2) Follow the wizard to create a new assets account.

When the wizard is closing, the application will crash without saving the file.

Thanks!

José.

Hi,

I hit a crash during initialization since the following commit:

commit 2d3c8b6e981b135be8a0a206b998539fbacdb689
Author: Thomas Baumgart
Date: Tue Jan 23 08:12:02 2018 +0100

Force usage of global settings in plugins

Since the plugins are shared objects also, we need to inject the global
settings object in the same way as has been implemented with commit
5a1b6235c8ed0775f9f7ade3f274678c1ddfa268

BUG: 388963

Dropping the buggy patch from history makes kmymoney works again. I'm sitting
on top of a97a23ac97786718c99a850a62f84a369f27055d on 5.0 branch right now.

[kmymoney] [Bug 384072] New: kmymoney-9999 doesn't build against gcc 5.4 anymore.

2017-08-27 Thread José Pekkarinen
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=384072

Bug ID: 384072
Summary: kmymoney- doesn't build against gcc 5.4 anymore.
   Product: kmymoney
   Version: unspecified
  Platform: Other
OS: Linux
Status: UNCONFIRMED
  Severity: normal
  Priority: NOR
 Component: General
  Assignee: kmymoney-de...@kde.org
  Reporter: koali...@gmail.com
  Target Milestone: ---

Hi,

Seems after db6b3ec4a489fadfac64cd6606bce234ba83c7de, kmymoney build against
gcc 5.4 triggers an internal compiler error shown like this:

/home/pekkari/kmymoney/kmymoney/models/accountsmodel.cpp: In instantiation of
‘AccountsModel::setColumnVisibility(AccountsModel::Columns,
bool):: [with auto:3 =
AccountsModel::setColumnVisibility(AccountsModel::Columns,
bool)::&]’:
/home/pekkari/kmymoney/kmymoney/models/accountsmodel.cpp:696:53: required
from here
/home/pekkari/kmymoney/kmymoney/models/accountsmodel.cpp:689:34: internal
compiler error: Segmentation fault
   childItem->removeColumn(ixCol);

The code seems correct, though the commit seems huge. It should be
recommendable to split it and integrate piece by piece, removing the commented
code, and other possible bugs.

Thanks!

José.

Same here with gentoo, unmasking plasma 5.9.5. Is there any interesting info I
could share to ease the debugging? I'm afraid debugging symbols won't be there
either.

Corrected example file.

Just noticed the I was adding the supplies expense as a deposit, sorry,
but here it is clear that, though there is just one ledger for 250€, the
tax report tells 500€ of expenses, and a turnover of 2000€ when the real
turnover should be 2000 - 250 = 1750€.

Hi,

Reports on git version of kmymoney no longer accounts splits properly. For
example, doing an split on your income, and marking one only of the splits
category to show on Tax report, will show your whole transactions in the
report, instead of the split you wanted to show. Making VAT splits using
artificial categories like 24%, 14%, 10%, shows the complete amount of the
transaction instead of the split in the category section.

Printing the very same report from kf4 version to kf5 version, reports
different Grand totals and values along the categories that seems to
correspond to the same issue, kf5 doesn'take just the splits, but the whole
transaction, making an income section that should have a value of 2610.28 looks
like 3977.88.

Thanks!

Hi,

I've updated to the git version, I found there is a tick box for hiding
the transactions in the transactions report, however, it doesn't shows
a sum of all transactions as it were one big for the year, it simply removes
everything making it looks like the the account information report.

Any help appreciated.

Hi,

If I create a transactions report, I see all the transactions
happening in my account one by one. For balances report, I would
need just the overall change in a period(lets say a year), instead
of one by one transaction. It would be great to have an option to
sum all the transactions on one line.

Thanks!

José.

Hi,

Doing a customized version of the transaction report, if you tick the
option Hide split transaction details, and save the report, it shows the
intended report, with one only line per transaction. Exiting kmymoney and
reopening it, the tick won't be there anymore, and the report will shows
several lines per splitted transaction.

Version used:

4.8.0-fbd612529e

Way to reproduce:

1) Create a copy of the transaction reports.
2) Tick the hide split transaction details.
3) Save.
4) Close kmymoney.
5) Open kymoney and the new report.

Thanks!

José.

Hi,

Anytime I need to edit an scheduled transaction the reference number field
loads empty, and saves empty as well, no matter if I previously saved it with a
value. When I enter the transaction to acknowledge everything is reconciled, it
loads empty and it saves empty, as well. If I write the number when saving, or
entering, ledgers gets the right value.

Thanks for this great piece of sw!

Also, if you start the machine in the docker, with the lid already closed, the
composer shows both screens active, though obviously you don't see laptop
screen. This comes to a trouble when some windows turn up in the other screen.
