https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=488262 --- Comment #9 from Roke Julian Lockhart Beedell <4wy78...@rokejulianlockhart.addy.io> --- (In reply to Nate Graham from comment #8) I'll make a new live USB to check that it's not an issue with the packages, rather than how I've installed them. [dolphin] [Bug 488300] New: Hidden name warning does not appear during rename.
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=488300 Bug ID: 488300 Summary: Hidden name warning does not appear during rename. Classification: Applications Product: dolphin Version: 24.05.0 Platform: Fedora RPMs URL: https://invent.kde.org/system/dolphin/-/merge_requests /695#note_965313 OS: Linux Status: REPORTED Severity: normal Priority: NOR Component: general Assignee: dolphin-bugs-n...@kde.org Reporter: 4wy78...@rokejulianlockhart.addy.io CC: kfm-de...@kde.org Target Milestone: --- SUMMARY As https://invent.kde.org/system/dolphin/-/merge_requests/695#note_965019 explains, I do not see a warning when renaming, such that it shall be hidden when renamed, a file or directory (I've not tried other filesystem objects, like symbolic and hard links) although, as https://invent.kde.org/system/dolphin/-/merge_requests/695#note_965313 demonstrates, it should. STEPS TO REPRODUCE 1. Create a file containing a period at the start of its name. 2. Observe the warning, as https://invent.kde.org/system/dolphin/uploads/f2dadd0e5554177ba49c3f99ba892251/Screenshot_20240609_195931.png demonstrates. 3. Create a file containing mere letters as its name. 4. Rename it such that a period is at the start of the name, as https://invent.kde.org/system/dolphin/uploads/c8db2b2be1d678801210963bb1b01c08/Screenshot_20240609_200132.png demonstrates. OBSERVED RESULT The warning solely appears during creation, not renaming. EXPECTED RESULT The warning should appear in both instances. https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=485970 --- Comment #3 from Roke Julian Lockhart Beedell <4wy78...@rokejulianlockhart.addy.io> --- (In reply to Kurt Hindenburg from comment #2) I want it to be like a Konsole/Dolphin panel, so that it can be moved to the left or right. However, I'd like it to work like a plasmoid on a *PlasmaShell* panel does - when a new session is invoked (like when a new tab or window is created) it should be static, and not overlay, like any other panel does. However, I should be able to set a toggle (like PlasmaShell's pin feature) and have it then able to temporarily resize over the session until I pin it again, where it returns to its original size. It should also have a horizontal scrollbar for when the user accidentally sets it shorter than they need at the start of a session. [systemsettings] [Bug 487449] The superuser does not appear in the Users KCM user list.
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=487449 --- Comment #3 from Roke Julian Lockhart Beedell <4wy78...@rokejulianlockhart.addy.io> --- (In reply to Roke Julian Lockhart Beedell from comment #2) I ask because the superuser appearing in the KCM does not mean that its attributes need to be modifiable - merely viewable, as https://bugs.kde.org/attachment.cgi?id=169756=edit demonstrates that they already are, before another user is selected. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes.

https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=487449 --- Comment #2 from Roke Julian Lockhart Beedell <4wy78...@rokejulianlockhart.addy.io> --- (In reply to Janet Blackquill from comment #1) In which case, would you accept this as a WISHLIST? -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes.
[systemsettings] [Bug 487448] Superuser avatar appears as modifiable, but cannot be modified via Users KCM.
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=487448 --- Comment #3 from Roke Julian Lockhart Beedell <4wy78...@rokejulianlockhart.addy.io> --- Created attachment 169766 --> https://bugs.kde.org/attachment.cgi?id=169766=edit Depiction of the automatically selected user modification page. (In reply to Janet Blackquill from comment #1) In that case, this is even more important - you can't display a user modification page and then state that it's unsupported. The Users KCM needs to automatically select the top visible user account, rather than root's. I implore you to re-read the issue and, especially, view https://bugs.kde.org/attachment.cgi?id=169756=edit, then see https://bugs.kde.org/attachment.cgi?id=169755=edit. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes.

[bugs.kde.org] [Bug 487450] Long URIs cause bug information to rendered off-screen.
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=487450 --- Comment #4 from Roke Julian Lockhart Beedell <4wy78...@rokejulianlockhart.addy.io> --- (In reply to Nate Graham from comment #2) I won't do it again, but I certainly didn't do it thinking it was useless - a text fragment can encode text, meaning that when the original page becomes unavailable, the important content remains referred to. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes.
