[kwin] [Bug 431446] Blinking panels and window contents not refreshing
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=431446 KDE Bugs changed: What|Removed |Added CC||bugs@feartoday.net --- Comment #41 from KDE Bugs --- This is happening to me, frequently, it affects everything where a video plays and it frequently affects my taskbar. When I say anywhere a video plays, it can be an advertisement which screws everything up and when it happens, my entire experience in that app goes kaput until I force kill it, so when it comes to videos, once the videos start screwing up (the video frame pauses but the audio continues), I actually can't interface with that program anymore, I have to open a terminal and 'killall ' and re-launch the program to use it again. My taskbar will start to flash icons and it doesn't stop until I change the taskbar some how (minimize/open an app) something to force the taskbar to re-render. I have enabled/disabled every suggestion I can find in regards to the issue (I have had the issue since the day I installed Kubuntu, I have changed the full screen composite, I've changed drivers, I've tried changing settings (that I can't remember anymore)). I'm fully updated, tried both native drivers video card drivers (whatever Ubuntu installs) and proprietary drivers, both do the samething. It's very frustrating; I can't even make it through a full episode of a TV show before my system starts doing this. I have plenty of CPU power (dual proc, 64 core / 128 threads, so 128 cores & 256 threads) 256 gigs of ram I am running quad monitors on an nvidia 3090. Note, I am fully up to date with packages. Operating System: Kubuntu 22.10 KDE Plasma Version: 5.25.5 KDE Frameworks Version: 5.98.0 Qt Version: 5.15.6 Kernel Version: 5.19.0-31-generic (64-bit) Graphics Platform: X11 Processors: 256 × AMD EPYC 7742 64-Core Processor Memory: 251.7 GiB of RAM Graphics Processor: NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3090/PCIe/SSE2 -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes.
[kdenlive] [Bug 386793] New: CAN NOT RENDER PROJECT: [mp2 @ 0x7f5d88011820] Channel layout not specified
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=386793 Bug ID: 386793 Summary: CAN NOT RENDER PROJECT: [mp2 @ 0x7f5d88011820] Channel layout not specified Product: kdenlive Version: 17.04.3 Platform: Other OS: Linux Status: UNCONFIRMED Severity: normal Priority: NOR Component: Video Display & Export Assignee: j...@kdenlive.org Reporter: kdeb...@mailismagic.com Target Milestone: --- I managed to get some littel project done as a sunday kdenlive experiment. It ends extremely frustrating: I can not render the project: [mp2 @ 0x7f5d88011820] Channel layout not specified This is the absolute worst case that can happen. Project ready but can not be rendered. If this was a real project I would now kill myself. Fortunately this was just a test. VERY frustrating. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes.
[kdenlive] [Bug 386773] New: Very high CPU usage few seconds after start, without any media loaded and doing nothing.
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=386773 Bug ID: 386773 Summary: Very high CPU usage few seconds after start, without any media loaded and doing nothing. Product: kdenlive Version: 17.08.3 Platform: Appimage OS: Linux Status: UNCONFIRMED Severity: critical Priority: NOR Component: Installation Assignee: vpi...@kde.org Reporter: kdeb...@mailismagic.com Target Milestone: --- Xubuntu 16.04: CPU usage extremely high after a few seconds of starting this appimage release up to 99% - with zero media loaded, doing nothing, just the "empty" default project after startup. Not usable. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes.
[kdenlive] [Bug 386772] New: XFCE4: GUI font too large on 144 dpi display and no way to change its size in preferences
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=386772 Bug ID: 386772 Summary: XFCE4: GUI font too large on 144 dpi display and no way to change its size in preferences Product: kdenlive Version: 17.08.3 Platform: Appimage OS: Linux Status: UNCONFIRMED Severity: major Priority: NOR Component: User Interface Assignee: j...@kdenlive.org Reporter: kdeb...@mailismagic.com Target Milestone: --- On Xubuntu 16.04 with XFCE4 the GUI font is too large on a 144 dpi display and there is no way to change its size in preferences dialog, at least I can not find any way to set the gui font size to a smaller value. I remember there was some catastrophic scenario with qt5 and "high" dpi screens a few years ago, but I hoped that this was not a problem in 2017 - unfortunately still! I just want to cut some videos quick on Linux and tried to use Kdenlive, but was confronted with an unusable interface with absurdly large gui font - a very, very basic thing just simply does not work. Very disappointing. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes.
