Hi KDE developers,

My collegue in QA team reported that:
Desktop freeze when using x11perf to test 2D graphics high load!
Mouse, keyboard and network are able to work, but desktop has no response, and
during the test process, all running application windows were closed,
automatically logout to SDDM.

I will try to debug to find the reason, and please someone give some advice,
thanks a lot!

Salvo "LtWorf" Tomaselli described in KDEBUG-364465 is wrong! kill plasmashell,
then there is *NO* container for desktop folderview (or desktopview) nor panel,
so press CTRL+F1...F4 will see *empty* black rectangle.

It is able to remove the (top) panel, then press CTRL+F1 shortcut, there is
*NO* a black or rectangle any more! so perhaps it might be
plasma-desktop/containments/panel issue.

Yes! and even there are a lot of c++0x or c++14 style in KDE projects, for

Yes! there are only copy/format project use JobProgressDialog (with
jobDescription), but ImageWritingDialog is inherited by InteractionDialog, so
you can not see the "Simulating ISO 9660 Image" or ""Burning ISO 9660 Image"
jobDescription.

try to use CDEmu to create a virtual blank disc, please have a look at 'Test
enviroment' http://www.leetcode.cn/2016/08/k3b.html it often like cdemu
create-blank --writer-id=WRITER-ISO --medium-type=dvd+r 0 ~/virt.iso

then use k3b again to burn the ISO, I have a doubt that your DVD+R DL is
invalid?

if created more virtual devices by CDEmu, k3b is also able to detect them!

CDEmu might has strict image test! when I try to cdemu load 0
~/my_100mb_test.img, it thrown such error:

ERROR: Failed to load image: net.sf.cdemu.CDEmuDaemon.errorMirage.ParserError:
No parser can handle the image file!

1) The first cdrecord run was not done with option -multi.
   I.e. the DVD-R is closed when the second run is attempted.

2) Option -sao of the second run spoiled the attempt to add a session.
   -sao could trigger write type Disk-At-Once which is not appropriate
   for media which already contain data.

3) cdrecord could be unwilling to do multi-session on DVD-R.
   I deem this unlikely, because i have seen reports that it works
   with DVD-R.

Investigations and tries:

1) One should inspect the DVD-R after the first run by runs like
 cdrecord dev=/dev/sr0 -minfo
 dvd+rw-mediainfo /dev/sr0
 xorriso -outdev /dev/sr0 -toc
 cdrskin dev=/dev/sr0 -toc
   xorriso would report for a DVD-R which capable of taking more data:
 Media status : is written , is appendable
   and for a DVD-R which cannot take more data
 Media status : is written , is closed

2) If the medium is reported to be "appendable", then leave out options
   -sao and -tsize. I.e.
 cdrecord -v gracetime=2 dev=/dev/sr0 speed=16 driveropts=burnfree -multi
-waiti -data ./some_image_file

3) Try whether cdrecord does multi-session when run by command line
 cdrecord -v -multi dev=/dev/sr0 ./first_image_file
 cdrecord -v -multi dev=/dev/sr0 ./second_image_file
   Above inspection commands should afterwards report 2 sessions.

Medium or burner might *NOT* support writting at 4x speed! for example, using
CDEmu: cdemu create-blank --writer-id=WRITER-ISO --medium-type=dvd+r 0
~/virt.iso then burning openSUSE.iso, you will see it!
