It's a serious bug. > > > SOFTWARE/OS VERSIONS > Linux: Manjaro > KDE Plasma Version: 5.20.5 > KDE Frameworks Version: 5.78.0 > Qt Version: 5.12.2 Quick Question - Were you using the OpenGL Renderer on Wayland? You can check which renderer is in use by going to Settings > Configure Gwenview > Image View > Animations. If it's set to OpenGL, try changing it to Software. That should help for the time being. A fix for the OpenGL renderer got merged yesterday - https://invent.kde.org/graphics/gwenview/-/merge_requests/37 It will be available in Gwenview v20.12.3 -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes.

[gwenview] [Bug 432330] Incorrect rendering of SVG
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=432330 --- Comment #3 from Madhav Kanbur --- I'm not too hopeful of things getting fixed upstream since Qt Svg doesn't have full svg support and should be replaced by a better renderer. QT themselves recommend using QtWebKit (now superseded by QtWebEngine) - https://bugreports.qt.io/browse/QTBUG-12588?focusedCommentId=123082=com.atlassian.jira.plugin.system.issuetabpanels:comment-tabpanel#comment-123082 I'm gonna mark this as a duplicate and try porting the code to QtWebEngine. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes.

[gwenview] [Bug 242017] Gwenview is unable to process PNG comments
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=242017 Madhav Kanbur changed: What|Removed |Added Ever confirmed|0 |1 CC||abcd...@gmail.com Status|REPORTED|CONFIRMED --- Comment #8 from Madhav Kanbur --- PNG stores metadata in "chunks" (key-value pairs) instead of EXIF. Gwenview uses the exiv2 library for extracting image metadata. The problem now, is that there are two keys of interest when it comes to comments - 1. Description 2. Comment Read more about them here - http://www.vias.org/pngguide/chapter11_04.html exiv2 deals only with the "Description" key and ignores the "Comment" key - https://github.com/Exiv2/exiv2/blob/68d65d0f0c41b0c4f9411354d5fa0d15641ac087/src/pngchunk_int.cpp#L384 It seems that most applications (GIMP, convert etc.) prefer using the "Comment" key. Also, I tried compiling exiv2 from source after making changes on L387 and that fixed the problem. So either we add some png specific code to gwenview or raise an issue upstream. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes.

[dolphin] [Bug 404306] [Wayland] Sometimes Dolphin disappears (no entry in plasma panel and task switcher) when I open file properties window despite its process is still running according to Ksysguar
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=404306 --- Comment #1 from Madhav Kanbur --- I can confirm that this bug is still present in Plasma 5.15.3. And I don't think it's limited to dolphin. I have experienced many other applications just randomly disappearing (process still visible in ps -el but window just gone). As Patrick mentioned, it happens only under a Wayland session. No problems under X11. I'm using Arch, with intel graphics. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes.

https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=372576 Madhav Kanbur changed: What|Removed |Added CC||abcd...@gmail.com --- Comment #25 from Madhav Kanbur --- Still present in Plasma 15.14.5, Arch linux, intel modesetting. It's been almost 2 years since this bug was reported. I know that it's not a major bug, but it sure is annoying for intel users. Can we please get the workaround merged?
