2020-05-22 Thread Mario P.
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=421908

Bug ID: 421908
Summary: HTML content - mangled generation
   Product: kmail2
   Version: 5.14.1
  Platform: openSUSE RPMs
OS: Linux
Status: REPORTED
  Severity: normal
  Priority: NOR
 Component: composereditor-ng
  Assignee: mon...@kde.org
  Reporter: p...@gmx.net
  Target Milestone: ---

Created attachment 128688
  --> https://bugs.kde.org/attachment.cgi?id=128688=edit
Sample of HTML to build a test-case

SUMMARY
Signature written in HTML after sending/saving wrongly code by generator

STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. insert a piece of HTML at "signatures dialog"
2. create a new email (richtext enabled)
3. save as draft and open to display result

OBSERVED RESULT

HTML wrongly generated:
- first 2 lines with a line-break (created by SHIFT+RETURN) are interpreted
with a new paragraph and 2nd line showing an extra space in front
- colored lines at end of signature-text inserted - last line showing wrong
color

ATTACHMENT
see html-file with source (from signature) and saved result (draft)

[kmail2] [Bug 420788] New: KMail - embedded picture is missing in html-source

2020-04-30 Thread Mario P.
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=420788

Bug ID: 420788
Summary: KMail - embedded picture is missing in html-source
   Product: kmail2
   Version: 5.14.0
  Platform: openSUSE RPMs
OS: Linux
Status: REPORTED
  Severity: normal
  Priority: NOR
 Component: composereditor-ng
  Assignee: mon...@kde.org
  Reporter: p...@gmx.net
  Target Milestone: ---

SUMMARY

Problems with HTML-formatted emails. Writing emails with embedded pictures
are not correctly placed into html-code. is missing.
An previoulsy used/working signature with an embedded image also not works
anymore since update to last version (20.04.0).

STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. new email
2. paste a picture from clipboard as "embedded" into kmail-editor
3. email looks correct - picture is shown as expected
4. save email as template / or send it out
5. check the received/stored message source (html-part) for - can
not be found
6. viewing the html-email result => just a [OBJ]-sign is shown - not the
content of picture

OBSERVED RESULT

- embedded pictures (images) are not shown in HMTL rendering / just a
place-holder [OBJ]

EXPECTED RESULT

- correct display (like it was shown in editing mode)
