[Discover] [Bug 371095] filter to show plasma software only

2016-10-21 Thread Martin Tlustos via KDE Bugzilla
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=371095

If someone wanted to have only kde software on his system to keep it as smooth
and uniform and free from other libraries as possible, it would be nice, I
think, because you wouldn't need to check with every promising software whether
it's KDE or Gnome or other.

[systemsettings] [Bug 364267] New: pre-installed font categories

2016-06-13 Thread Martin Tlustos via KDE Bugzilla
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=364267

Bug ID: 364267
   Summary: pre-installed font categories
   Product: systemsettings
   Version: 5.6.4
  Platform: Kubuntu Packages
OS: Linux
Status: UNCONFIRMED
  Severity: wishlist
  Priority: NOR
 Component: kcm_fontinst
  Assignee: unassigned-b...@kde.org
  Reporter: martin.tlus...@gmail.com

I'd like to propose a built-in grouping of different types of fonts - deco
fonts, text and display, scripts, handwritings, etc.

I know such a distinction would always be quite arbitrary, but at least there
could be these groups:

-Serifs (all serif typefaces with at least 4 different fonts -
regular,bold,italic,bold-italic)
- Sanserifs (all sanserif typefaces with at least 4 different fonts)
- Scripts
- pictograms (like dingbats etc.)

Optional groups:
-small caps
-decorative fonts
-header fonts
-handwriting
etc.

kcm_fontinst could have a preconfigured list of the most common fonts used in
Linux systems, which would then be overruled by any user configuration.

Disabling the use of recent addresses helps in my case (kmail 5.1.3 on Kubuntu

Which also hints towards recent addresses being the bad guy...

Because there is no other drm software available under linux that's easy to
work with (only a few web-based systems), I use kmymoney for our donation
management (we work in a donation based organisation and have to keep in touch
with our personal donors).
Kmymoney works great for this purpose. There are only three things missing,
with one being more important, the other two being marginal:
1) being able to view a specific donor's history as a graphical report (maybe
even more than one donor)
2) import donor's address details and 3) activate a communication process from
within kmymoney (like writing an email or a letter) - both of which are not
really crucial.

I know this is not the original scope of kmymoney, but if it could be
implemented (expecially nr 1), that would just be awesome!

[ksysguard] [Bug 261255] some dead processes stay in the list

2016-01-18 Thread Martin Tlustos via KDE Bugzilla
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=261255

Some observations:
1) systemmonitor does not have this bug.
2) it only seems to happen if ksysguard is in the background or if you have
switched to another tab.

[kontact] [Bug 358153] New: Crash on exit kontact (no crash when exiting standalone apps)

2016-01-17 Thread Martin Tlustos via KDE Bugzilla
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=358153

Bug ID: 358153
Summary: Crash on exit kontact (no crash when exiting
standalone apps)
   Product: kontact
   Version: unspecified
  Platform: Ubuntu Packages
OS: Linux
Status: UNCONFIRMED
  Keywords: drkonqi
  Severity: crash
  Priority: NOR
 Component: general
  Assignee: kdepim-b...@kde.org
  Reporter: martin.tlus...@gmail.com

Application: kontact ()

Qt Version: 5.4.2
Operating System: Linux 4.2.0-23-generic x86_64
Distribution: Ubuntu 15.10

-- Information about the crash:
- What I was doing when the application crashed:
I tried to close the program. It doesn't matter whether I close it by clicking
on the top-right corner or via "file - exit".

Strange behaviour I have observed:
kontact always complains about kwallet not opening correctly ("several failed
attempts to open a wallet"). This does not happen if I use a standalone program
either.

The crash can be reproduced every time.

You need to add "ppa:kubuntu-ppa" (and maybe "ppa:kubuntu-backports") to your
repository. The version there is still 5.0.3, though, but 5.1 should make it
there eventually.

It might be the same or a different issue, but here it goes into an endless

click the error away just to be displayed again and again...
