It's Folder View widgets that does not work properly anymore since a recent update (from Backports ppa I presume). I personalized the default icon of folders; I still see it in Dolphin but no more in Folder View widget where it's shown like the classic Brezza one. https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=476833 --- Comment #2 from Massimiliano Agosti --- You added .desktop file shortcuts to apps and put them in a folder, and added a Folder View widget to your panel and configured it to show that folder*_YES_*, and now when you open the folder and click on the shortcuts, the app doesn't open*_YES_* and instead the file opens in a text editor app?*_NO_. When I click on the shortcuts nothing happens*. *I tried a Folder View widget placed on Desktop pointing to a folder containing .pdf files; clicking on them do not have any effect.
