[kmymoney] [Bug 484680] Investment quantity does not support decimal numbers
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=484680 Matthew Schultz changed: What|Removed |Added Resolution|--- |NOT A BUG Status|REPORTED|RESOLVED --- Comment #4 from Matthew Schultz --- Ok I figured it out. I had to change each specific investment in the investment detail wizard under the "fraction" field from 1 / 1 to 1 / 1000 and then it finally allowed me to enter a decimal quantity. It's not very intuitive as to what the fraction field does but at least I got it to work. Thanks! -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes.
[kmymoney] [Bug 484680] Investment quantity does not support decimal numbers
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=484680 --- Comment #2 from Matthew Schultz --- (In reply to Ingo Klöcker from comment #1) > I'm entering fractional share quantities all of the time. Check the Fraction > configured for the investment. Maybe it's set to 1/1. I think it defaults to > 1/100 and I change it to 1/1000 for every new investment I add (because > there doesn't seem to be a way to change the default). How do I do that? I can't set a fraction in the quantity field or a decimal number for the investment transaction. It only allows whole numbers. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes.
[kmymoney] [Bug 484680] New: Investment quantity does not support decimal numbers
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=484680 Bug ID: 484680 Summary: Investment quantity does not support decimal numbers Classification: Applications Product: kmymoney Version: 5.1.3 Platform: Gentoo Packages OS: Linux Status: REPORTED Severity: normal Priority: NOR Component: general Assignee: kmymoney-de...@kde.org Reporter: matt...@gmail.com Target Milestone: --- SUMMARY When I try to enter an investment ledger line with a fractional share quantity, it rounds to the nearest integer which is incorrect. The transactional was a purchase of a fractional share (in this case the quantity was 0.738). Please modify the quantity field for investments to support decimal numbers and allow entering fractional share transactions. STEPS TO REPRODUCE 1. Enter a quantity in an investment account as a decimal number. 2. Notice the quantity gets rounded to the nearest integer. OBSERVED RESULT A decimal number in the investment quantity transaction gets rounded to the nearest integer in the quantity field. EXPECTED RESULT A decimal number should not be modified at all when entered in the quantity field of an investment account. https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=326100 --- Comment #19 from Matthew Schultz --- Yes, there's no way for me to test it because my bank now only allows secure or signed programs to download transactions. From what I understand, it's technically feasible for kmymoney to get this capability but for some reason is not a priority. I can't imagine the update button will be useful for much longer for anyone if most banks end up doing this. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes.

I have a vague memory of a change being made to > recognize duplicate transactions even if the institution is not correctly > and consistently identifying them. No clue. I run Gentoo and to install kmymoney, I have to compile qtwebengine because it's required and qtwebkit is currently deprecated and being removed. qtwebengine takes an enormous amount of time to compile and it would be nice to avoid installing it especially if the functionality it provides in kmymoney is not something I need. STEPS TO REPRODUCE 1. -DENABLE_WEBENGINE=OFF OBSERVED RESULT Disabling qtwebengine makes qtwebkit required and it looks for that library instead: CMake Error at CMakeLists.txt:224 (find_package): By not providing "FindKF5WebKit.cmake" in CMAKE_MODULE_PATH this project has asked CMake to find a package configuration file provided by "KF5WebKit", but CMake did not find one. [kmymoney] [Bug 432397] New: kmymoney could simplify importing CSV files
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=432397 Bug ID: 432397 Summary: kmymoney could simplify importing CSV files Product: kmymoney Version: unspecified Platform: Other OS: Linux Status: REPORTED Severity: normal Priority: NOR Component: importer Assignee: kmymoney-de...@kde.org Reporter: matt...@gmail.com Target Milestone: --- Due to bug 428146, I've been exporting a CSV file from my bank's website and importing it through the CSV import option in kmymoney. There are a way too many steps to have to follow for each import. It would be nice if this could be sped up. I have been choosing the same options every time with perhaps sometimes a change in filename although most times I just save over the same file I exported from my bank's website from the last time. I know I can check "skip setup" but that only reduces 8 steps into 4 steps. I'd like at most two steps: one to select the account to import to and the other to select the file. Maybe it could even remember the name of the last file I imported and skip selecting the file so I just say which account I want to import to. At any rate, it would be a lot nicer to have a faster import since there's no longer support for downloading transactions through kmymoney anymore through my bank. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes.

The problem with font size still remains though. https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=389756 Bug ID: 389756 Summary: Net worth line graph no longer zooms balance range and shows all the way to zero (regression) Product: kmymoney Version: 4.8.1 Platform: Gentoo Packages OS: Linux Status: UNCONFIRMED Severity: normal Priority: NOR Component: reports Assignee: kmymoney-de...@kde.org Reporter: matt...@gmail.com Target Milestone: --- kmymoney 4.8.0 net worth graph used to zoom the balance range on line graph on the left so it would only show the balance range starting with the lowest net worth and up to the highest net worth. Now it always shows that range all the way down to zero even if the balance never goes anywhere near zero. The biggest problem with this is when you show the balance numbers over a long period of time (several years), they become completely illegible whereas when it was zoomed so that it only showed the net worth to the lowest point, the numbers were visible. The other loss is the line graph becomes harder to read the changes in net worth. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes.
