[kdenlive] [Bug 408386] New: Multiple icons missing throughout the application, notably the Main Toolbar
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=408386 Bug ID: 408386 Summary: Multiple icons missing throughout the application, notably the Main Toolbar Product: kdenlive Version: 19.04.1 Platform: MS Windows OS: MS Windows Status: REPORTED Severity: normal Priority: NOR Component: User Interface Assignee: j...@kdenlive.org Reporter: michaelk9...@gmail.com Target Milestone: --- Created attachment 120629 --> https://bugs.kde.org/attachment.cgi?id=120629=edit Screenshot w/ labels of kdenlive UI bugs and issues SUMMARY After updating kdenlive to 19.04.1 from 18.12.X, my Color Theme, Layout, and Main Toolbar were reset. With the biggest issue being various icons are either invisible, or replaced with text. I was able to recover everything from selecting [View > Load Layout], [Settings > Color Theme], and [Settings > Configure Toolbars...]. However, I was not able to find a fix for the icon issue. I have yet to rollback a version. STEPS TO REPRODUCE 1. Setup kdenlive 18.12.X w/ a color theme prefix, custom layout, and custom toolbars 2. Update to kdenlive 19.04.1, the issue will be apparent. OBSERVED RESULT Lack of icons and automatic Color Theme, Layout, and Toolbar recovery from previous version. EXPECTED RESULT (Explained above) SOFTWARE/OS VERSIONS Windows: 10 Pro for Workstations (1809) macOS: ~ Linux/KDE Plasma: ~ (available in About System) KDE Plasma Version: ~ KDE Frameworks Version: "5.57.0" Qt Version: "5.12.3 (built against 5.12.3)" ADDITIONAL INFORMATION - Also found in [Help > About Kdenlive > Libraries], "The windows windowing system" -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes.

https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=403580 --- Comment #4 from Mike FABIAN --- (In reply to Andreas Schneider from comment #2) > The issue probably is that KDE sets LANG or LC_* variables to locales which > don't exist. So all terminal tools like 'ls', 'git' etc. are printing > warnings that I use locales which don't exist. KDE/Qt5 apparently uses the locale support in libicu. The list of locales libicu supports is different from the locales glibc supports, there is considerable overlap between the list of locales supported by libicu and glibc, but the lists are not equal. If the user chooses a locale in KDE which does not exist in glibc, it makes not sense setting the LANG or LC_* variables to such a locale. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes.

https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=212268 Mike Goodwin changed: What|Removed |Added CC||m...@mgoodwin.net --- Comment #3 from Mike Goodwin --- This bug is absolutely still valid and has been for some 10 years.. It makes sending/receiving HTML emails a chore in the workplace because if you use KMail to do it, your emails look like they're written by a child. (i.e. unprofessional) Example Business email: --- Hi Mark, Thanks for sending me that info Regards, - Mike Becomes: Hi Mark, Thanks for sending me that info Regads, - Mike When read by any modern client (for me Outlook, Roundcube, Rainloop and Gmail all render Kmail's sent HTML like this) There are also numerous reports on the forums about this issue. Is there any way we can get this bug to the right place to finally gain some traction? It's really the only thing left in my personal list of wants that KMail needs for me to use it exclusively (right now if I'm not sending TEXT email, I have to go use rainloop if I want properly formatted emails). I'd suggest to add a separate configuration tickable to prevent this behaviour. STEPS TO REPRODUCE 1. Enable BlueDevil "bluetooth integration" feature 2. Open bluetoothctl to monitor for scan("Discovering") requests OBSERVED RESULT Software-wise: Every 2-3 minutes, device goes into "Discovery" mode. Hardware-wise: Wireless speed & packetdrop grows, longer it keeps going worse the connectivity becomes. EXPECTED RESULT As this is not a bug per se, while having quite bad outcome AND being a non-obvious thing to detect/debug, I've set it to Wishlist. Expected result would be to have a configuration item to disable this behaviour while keeping other bluetooth integration features; I'd argue that not scanning continiously should be the default. [plasmashell] [Bug 354802] Desktop Icon position gets scrambled sometimes on reboot.
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=354802 --- Comment #4 from Mike --- What info is needed ? It's indeed an old bug but it hit mee some weeks ago again with latest KDE version on Manjaro - rolling release. Right now I have: Kernel: 4.14.71-1-MANJARO x86_64 bits: 64 Desktop: KDE Plasma 5.13.5 Distro: Manjaro Linux Can't reproduce but it was on a reboot that all Icons lost theire position and have been placed on the left side of the desktop. Had to rearrange them one by one. Still missing a feature that saves and restores the icons. Even a hint where those settings ins the profile could be found. [clazy] [Bug 398633] Feature request add tests for qt containers and qobjects
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=398633 --- Comment #2 from Mike Harris --- Can there at least be some form of bounds checking? [clazy] [Bug 398633] New: Feature request add tests for qt containers and qobjects
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=398633 Bug ID: 398633 Summary: Feature request add tests for qt containers and qobjects Product: clazy Version: unspecified Platform: Other OS: Linux Status: UNCONFIRMED Severity: normal Priority: NOR Component: general Assignee: unassigned-b...@kde.org Reporter: mike.a.har...@outlook.com CC: smart...@kde.org Target Milestone: --- I have a very simple example that refuses to be flagged by either clang, clang-tidy, clazy, or Krazy2. QVector myVec; myVec.push_back(1); myVec.push_back(2); int third = myVec.at(3); int otherThird =myVec[3]; obviously this segfaults because there was never a third element. The issue is that no single IDE or plugin will flag this. It'll ASSERT in Qt Creator debug build run but that's after it compiles. there has to be some intellisense like thing in the editor or any static analysis tool that can read Qt Containers. "Just add the Qt source to your code model" you might say well compiling every single part of Qt takes many days so not an option. Another example is QCheckBox *myCheckbox = new QCheckBox(); QListView *myListView = qobject_cast(myCheckBox); //will equal null QSize size = myListView->gridSize(); //myListView is null so crashes with segfault again This leads to deep bugs that aren't flagged with any static analysis tool. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes.

Right now when I open KDiskFree I see a sea of red at the top (since loop comes before sda*) none of which is interesting when I run KDiskFree to get a sense of how full the partitions I write to are. There may be occasions when having the loop devices listed is useful (just seeing them enumerated in a gui is useful, as is seeing their sizes), but that's more of an exceptional case. also see bug 379516 which was for frameworks-solid -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes.
