Bug ID: 422197
Summary: Plasma crash after update, but only if background
picture is missing + no plasma response
   Product: plasmashell
   Version: 5.18.5
  Platform: unspecified
OS: Linux
Status: REPORTED
  Keywords: drkonqi
  Severity: crash
  Priority: NOR
 Component: general
  Assignee: k...@davidedmundson.co.uk
  Reporter: flarel...@web.de
CC: plasma-b...@kde.org
  Target Milestone: 1.0

Application: plasmashell (5.18.5)

Qt Version: 5.14.2
Frameworks Version: 5.70.0
Operating System: Linux 4.15.0-101-generic x86_64
Windowing system: X11
Distribution: KDE neon User Edition 5.18

-- Information about the crash:
- Unusual behavior I noticed:

I have every couple of starts a black plasma screen on one monitor (the second
is fine), but only in the position of the background picture. Task bar is
working fine. Plasma crashed then (~10 min later) when updateing the disti (KDE
Neon) with discover.
Before that the compositior didn't started and I kicked the opengl mode
manually.

The crash can be reproduced sometimes.

For me the results for the requested commands are:

qdbus org.kde.kdeconnect /modules/kdeconnect/devices//sftp isMounted
--> false
qdbus org.kde.kdeconnect /modules/kdeconnect/devices//sftp
mountAndWait --> true

> Wait for the command to return, then check if browsing the phone through
> Dolphin works as expected
Now I can see the folder structure and access the files via dolphin.

I use KDE Neon in fresh installation (bionic) updated (30.10.2018)
