I installed konsole-git from AUR and although vim no longer crashes when
resizing (for me vim never crashed from zooming), Amp still crashes when
zooming in or resizing.

The issue with hyper has been happening to me for a long time on multiple
systems. I'd like for this issue to be reopened and renamed since there's no
crash.

[systemsettings] [Bug 430503] Option for Default Browser to Use Private Window

2020-12-17 Thread Mosin
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=430503

I've already created a custom desktop file for private mode, it seems to behave
glitchy, for example if regular Firefox is pinned opening the private version
will be treated as a separate application. Using a shell script works well
though.

What I was thinking was if Firefox or a popular chromium based browser is
default the `--private-window` or `-incognito` flag could be set and if the
browser is unsupported the option would be hidden. Since there are only a few
popular browsers would this be possible?

[systemsettings] [Bug 430503] New: Option for Default Browser to Use Private Window

2020-12-17 Thread Mosin
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=430503

Bug ID: 430503
Summary: Option for Default Browser to Use Private Window
   Product: systemsettings
   Version: 5.20.4
  Platform: Other
OS: Linux
Status: REPORTED
  Severity: wishlist
  Priority: NOR
 Component: kcm_componentchooser
  Assignee: plasma-b...@kde.org
  Reporter: ran...@mail.com
  Target Milestone: ---

SUMMARY
For my default browser I have set a shell script that calls `firefox
--private-window $1` which lets me open all links and searches in a private
window. It would be useful to include this functionality in the settings with a
checkbox that can set the default browser to use private/incognito mode.

[kwin] [Bug 378694] Kicker's sub-menus are covered up by Plasma panels

This still occurs in latest neon-unstable. The placement of the menu does seem
to consider size of its panel. This issue doesn't happen if the panel height is
22 or below. However if size is 23 or bigger then this issue occurs and the
menu can stretch to the bottom of the screen, covering 1 or more entries.

[plasmashell] [Bug 421595] Backspace in Kicker When Item Selected Creates Box Character

I tested this on another computer and it also has this bug. I think the
importance should be raised since this bug seems to happen on all systems.

[plasmashell] [Bug 421595] New: Backspace in Kicker When Item Selected Creates Box Character

2020-05-16 Thread Mosin
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=421595

Bug ID: 421595
Summary: Backspace in Kicker When Item Selected Creates Box
Character
   Product: plasmashell
   Version: 5.18.5
  Platform: Other
OS: Linux
Status: REPORTED
  Severity: minor
  Priority: NOR
 Component: Application Menu (Kicker)
  Assignee: h...@kde.org
  Reporter: jngw2...@tutanota.com
CC: plasma-b...@kde.org
  Target Milestone: 1.0

SUMMARY
Pressing Backspace in Kicker if an item is selected will create a "missing
glyph" box character.
See:https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/typography/opentype/spec/recom#glyph-0-the-notdef-glyph

STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. launch kicker
2. press up arrow or hover mouse to select any entry (there should no longer be
an I beam in search field)
3. press backspace

OBSERVED RESULT
A missing glyph character is inserted instead of deleting.

EXPECTED RESULT
Backspace will delete a character.

SOFTWARE/OS VERSIONS
This bug occurs in both my systems:
(Virtualbox)
Kde Neon Unstable
KDE Plasma Version: 5.18.80
KDE Frameworks Version: 5.70.0
Qt Version: 5.14.2

(Hardware Install)
Manjaro 20.0.1
KDE Plasma Version: 5.18.5
KDE Frameworks Version: 5.70.0
Qt Version: 5.14.2
Kernel Version: 5.6.12-1-MANJARO
OS Type: 64-bit

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
When repeating these steps and pressing the delete key instead, this character
is produced:
Pressing backspace again will delete characters as usual, until there is no
more text. After that, backspace will create a missing glyph symbol again
(delete will also create its own character).

[kdeplasma-addons] [Bug 410612] Notes widget placed on Plasma panel does not open or it opens and closes itself immediately when no window is open or all windows are minimized

2020-05-04 Thread Mosin
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=410612

I have done some more testing and discovered that this bug also happens if any
plasmashell window is focused such as notes settings. Since the desktop and
panels all belong to plasmashell this makes sense. Also using configuring a
keyboard shortcut to launch notes also results in this bug.
