[okular] [Bug 415203] New: Certificate chain validation
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=415203 Bug ID: 415203 Summary: Certificate chain validation Product: okular Version: 1.9.0 Platform: openSUSE RPMs OS: Linux Status: REPORTED Severity: normal Priority: NOR Component: general Assignee: okular-de...@kde.org Reporter: nemhi...@gmail.com Target Milestone: --- SUMMARY Okular should have certificate chain validation. For each digital signature, there should be chain validation against system store. STEPS TO REPRODUCE 1. Open pdf which is digitally signed OBSERVED RESULT 1. Chain validation (e.g. cert -> intermediate -> root) is not performed in Okular. EXPECTED RESULT 1. Chain should be validated and expected result shown to the user SOFTWARE/OS VERSIONS Windows: macOS: Linux/KDE Plasma: OpenSuse, Manjaro (available in About System) KDE Frameworks 5.64.0 Qt 5.13.1 (built against 5.13.1 ADDITIONAL INFORMATION -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes.

It would be fantastic if Okular could recognize (and show) those levels in signatures. Attached documents have signatures with levels LTA, LT and B. Levels with 'T' in their name have Timestamp component as part of signature and LTA has additional document timestamp. STEPS TO REPRODUCE 1. Open PDF digitally signed with different signature levels (e.g. LTA, LT and B) OBSERVED RESULT There are no details for Advanced Signature EXPECTED RESULT Advanced signature details should be shown to user SOFTWARE/OS VERSIONS Windows: macOS: Linux/KDE Plasma: OpenSuse, Manjaro (available in About System) Using Poppler 0.81.0 KDE Frameworks 5.64.0 Qt 5.13.1 (built against 5.13.1 ADDITIONAL INFORMATION -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes.
