[krita] [Bug 366243] Something's really wrong with the update sceduler/kisstroke/etc.

2016-07-30 Thread Odysseas via KDE Bugzilla
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=366243

I am using the 3.0.1 debug version. I do not use the move tool or multiple
views that much, so I couldn't say.. But there are plenty of issues with
strokes updating forever, inability to save because of that and eventually a
freeze / crash.
At times it comes out of the blue, with no sign of overload or processing
preceeding it.

Deactivating the instant preview minimizes the problem for me - I only had one
crash with the ip inactive so far.

Could these crashes be related with the instant preview? Krita is behaving like
this only when I have the instant preview activated. The program crashes
seemingly at random, and the only common thing between the crashes is that the
ip is activated.

I 've got a couple of backtraces as well, if you think that this is the
problem.

[krita] [Bug 361653] Show Painting Assistants has no effect

I am on Windows 10, and the results are inconsistent:
If I have just one assistant, both options are working as they should, most of
the times at least.
The weirdness starts for me if I have more than one. Usually they remain
visible no matter what, except if I click on their eye button to switch them
off.

Is it possible that *some* assistants have this issue?

[krita] [Bug 365660] New: File layers will not convert to Paint Layers

2016-07-14 Thread Odysseas via KDE Bugzilla
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=365660

Bug ID: 365660
Summary: File layers will not convert to Paint Layers
   Product: krita
   Version: 3.0
  Platform: MS Windows
OS: MS Windows
Status: UNCONFIRMED
  Severity: minor
  Priority: NOR
 Component: Layer Stack
  Assignee: krita-bugs-n...@kde.org
  Reporter: xb_creati...@yahoo.com

File layers will not convert to Paint Layers.

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Import file layer
2. Right click on file layer > convert > Paint Layer

Actual Results:
Nothing happens

Expected Results:
The file layer should be rasterized

There is the simple workaround of calling up an empty paint layer and merging
the two. This way the File layer will be rasterized.

I can confirm this behavior, although not always. I have set my "canvas only"
settings to hide everything but the toolbars and dockers. Sometimes it works
as it should, other times I get the above issue.
I haven't managed to find out if I am triggering this..it seems to happen at
random.

Same here, works both with intuos 3 and pro. Sometimes I get some glitches like
that in the scratchpad, but it's just a matter of restarting Krita.

[krita] [Bug 359128] Perspective transformation causes blurry image

2016-02-08 Thread Odysseas via KDE Bugzilla
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=359128

Hi Wolthera, I did try all the different algorithms. The bilinear seems to
produce a bit crispier results while in free transform mode, but the
perspective mode remains blurry no matter what. Box makes it a bit crispier but
produces some weird squarish artifacts all over.

[krita] [Bug 359128] New: Perspective transformation causes blurry image

2016-02-08 Thread Odysseas via KDE Bugzilla
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=359128

Bug ID: 359128
Summary: Perspective transformation causes blurry image
   Product: krita
   Version: 2.9.10
  Platform: MS Windows
OS: MS Windows
Status: UNCONFIRMED
  Severity: normal
  Priority: NOR
 Component: transform
  Assignee: krita-bugs-n...@kde.org
  Reporter: xb_creati...@yahoo.com

Transforming in perspective mode, or using the ctrl+alt shortcut while in free
transform, results in a blurry image. Even when the distortion of the
transformation is not extreme, and the layer is scaled down during the
transform, the quality suffers a great deal.

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Select a layer and go to free transform mode
2. Use the ctr+alt or the perspective mode to distort the image
3.apply

Actual Results:
The details are blurry even when the layer is smaller than it originally was.

Expected Results:
The details are preserved more.

Please see the attached image where this action is demonstrated in comparison
to the photoshop's distort function.
