Hi Jack, Thanks for helping, I'm using Zorin Lite 32bit (is an old netbook ,compaq mini CQ-10), and i've just opened the file with the same SO an the same KMM. One thing i've just remembered is that i've used the pendrive where the file is on a windows PC, before KMM came up with that warning. I will try to install a newer version of the SO on 64bit PC with the newer virsion of the KMM. Thanks in advance. If there's no sleep() or even something similar to prevent this, every dropped frame (m_pendingBuffer == true) will send a lot of "kwin_wayland[1197]: kwin_screencast: Dropping a screencast frame because the compositor is slow" to the journalctl and use 100% of a CPU core. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes.
[kwin] [Bug 467574] kwin_screencast: Dropping a screencast frame because the compositor is slow
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=467574 Paulo Marcos changed: What|Removed |Added CC||contato-myghi63@protonmail. ||com --- Comment #10 from Paulo Marcos --- THE PROBLEM: Recording the screen via OBS + Vaapi is pretty smooth even at 144fps here, but the main problem (flood from kwin_screencast) is even worse, because if I use my monitor at 144hz, kwin_wayland starts using 100% of a single core and keeps flooding for more than ~200 messages PER SECOND, by just launching OBS or sharing screen on any app. I also tried increasing rtkit priority of pipewire proccess on it's settings (pipewire.conf), but the problem still happens. POSSIBLE ROOT OF THE ISSUE: So I noticed a possible cause of this problem by looking at a patch from PortageStuff (URL at the bottom of this comment). First of all, m_pendingBuffer is being set to true very frequently for some reason (pipewire fault?), so for every single dropped frame, the if statement is executing the qCWarning comamnd, which can both stress a CPU core and cause all the flooding. SUGGESTED WORKAROUND/FIX: If possible, for every second doing the screencast, track how much frames has been dropped and compare it to the target FPS. If more than 60% of the frames are being dropped, then finally send the kwin_screencast warning, because in this specific case the screencast performance is significantly worse than it should! [konsole] [Bug 436320] New: Highlighted text has dark grey background regardless font color.
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=436320 Bug ID: 436320 Summary: Highlighted text has dark grey background regardless font color. Product: konsole Version: 21.04.0 Platform: Slackware Packages OS: Linux Status: REPORTED Severity: normal Priority: NOR Component: general Assignee: konsole-de...@kde.org Reporter: pauloct...@hotmail.com Target Milestone: --- SUMMARY In konsole version 21.04.0, when highlight text with mouse left-button, the font color remains the same, and highlighted background is dark grey. If you change the color scheme to 'Black on White' and print some text in cyan [code]echo -e '\e[36;1mtext\e[m'[/code] (or yellow, 33 instead 36), there is no difference between non-highlighted and highlighted text. STEPS TO REPRODUCE 1. Select a text with mouse in konsole. 2. The font color remains the same and background is dark grey (or transparent if the background color is white). OBSERVED RESULT It is very difficult to see what is highlighted. EXPECTED RESULT Would be better if highlighted text be the same as the previous konsole version 20.12.3, in reverse colors, e.g. white text highlighted becomes background color text with white background, green text becomes background color text with green background, and so on. Yes :D try any Freecell variant, it should certainly (unfortunately) crash too. Those Freecell variants were added with the new KDE applications update 21.04, that's why I think maybe there is something related. Before those variants addition, Freecell was running ok. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes.
[kpat] [Bug 436181] kpat crashes when right-click an ace card to send it upper right position.
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=436181 --- Comment #4 from Paulo --- This? https://github.com/Ponce/slackbuilds/tree/current/desktop/flatpak After some commands to download and install things, I think I did it right. I could run kpat with 'flatpak run org.kde.kpat', it started with defaults instead my own configurations. It crashed the same way, I started a Freecell game then changed it to Forecell. Any card auto-moves with right-click, but right-click on any ace crashes. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes.
[kpat] [Bug 436181] kpat crashes when right-click an ace card to send it upper right position.
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=436181 --- Comment #2 from Paulo --- Hi Albert, thanks for your reply. It crashes every time here :/ I also tested in a VirtualBox vm clean install to make sure and kpat crashes too. I didn't test with another distro. Slackware strips debug symbols from its packages, is it enough to build qt5 without strip? There is a valgrind package for Slackware https://github.com/Ponce/slackbuilds/tree/current/development/valgrind is that right? [kpat] [Bug 436181] New: kpat crashes when right-click an ace card to send it upper right position.
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=436181 Bug ID: 436181 Summary: kpat crashes when right-click an ace card to send it upper right position. Product: kpat Version: 21.04.0 Platform: Slackware Packages OS: Linux Status: REPORTED Severity: crash Priority: NOR Component: general Assignee: co...@kde.org Reporter: pauloct...@hotmail.com CC: kde-games-b...@kde.org Target Milestone: --- SUMMARY kpat crashes when right-click an ace card to send it upper right position. I think this happens since the addition of Baker's Dozen and the Freecell variants. It happens on Xfce and KDE Plasma5, so it seems Desktop Environment independent. I never saw this crash before in any kpat game. STEPS TO REPRODUCE 1. Click on a new game Freecell. 2. If it starts as Forecell (or Freecell), change it to Freecell (or Forecell, or any other variant) in 'Settings -> Popular Variants Presets -> FreeCell (or Forecell, or any other variant)'. 3. On the first free ace available, right-click on it to send it to the upper right position. kpat will crash. Dragging it with left-button and dropping it is ok. OBSERVED RESULT kpat crashes. EXPECTED RESULT Right-click on ace card should auto-move it to one of the upper right positions.
