Status: REPORTED

 Component: gtk theme
  Assignee: plasma-b...@kde.org
  Reporter: kdeb...@replies.cyways.com
CC: agrine...@gmail.com, uhh...@gmail.com
  Target Milestone: ---

SUMMARY
I believe there was a dialog box in the earlier versions of the System Settings
GTK control panel that enabled you to set the size of fonts for GTK
applications. I no longer see such an option in recent versions.

KDE Plasma Version: 5.24.4
KDE Frameworks Version: 5.92.0
Qt Version: 5.15.3
Kernel Version: 5.15.0-33-generic (64-bit)
Graphics Platform: X11
Processors: 4 × Intel® Core™ i5-2410M CPU @ 2.30GHz
Memory: 11.6 GiB of RAM
Graphics Processor: Mesa Intel® HD Graphics 3000

STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. Go to System Settings > Appearance > Fonts
2. No GTK option.
3. Go to System Settings > GNOME/GTK style
4. No option to set font size.

OBSERVED RESULT
No option to set GTK font size.

EXPECTED RESULT
Dialogs to set GTK font size.

[plasmashell] [Bug 419538] New: Cannot disable touchpad while typing

2020-04-02 Thread Peter Lemieux
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=419538

Bug ID: 419538
Summary: Cannot disable touchpad while typing
   Product: plasmashell
   Version: master
  Platform: Ubuntu Packages
OS: Linux
Status: REPORTED
  Severity: normal
  Priority: NOR
 Component: Touchpad
  Assignee: plasma-b...@kde.org
  Reporter: kdeb...@replies.cyways.com
  Target Milestone: 1.0

SUMMARY

I have never been able to get the "disable touchpad while typing" option to
work on my laptops with Synaptics touchpads. I finally did a bit of searching
and found the application called "touchpad-indicator." Installing this solved
the problem. Perhaps you should take a look at the code in that app to see if
you can use it to fix the problem with disabling the touchpad.

STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. Turn on "Disable touchpad while typing" in the SystemSettings applet
2. Go someplace where you need to type.
3. Watch the cursor move all over the screen. Occasionally whole blocks of text
will be deleted as well.

OBSERVED RESULT
See #3

EXPECTED RESULT
Touchpad disabled and no problems with typing

SOFTWARE/OS VERSIONS
Windows:
macOS:
Linux/KDE Plasma: Currently Kubuntu 20.04 (development) but the problem has
persisted across versions.
(available in About System)
KDE Plasma Version: 5.18.3
KDE Frameworks Version: 5.68.0
Qt Version: 5.12.5

What is the difference? I don't see any apps requiring attention, but my panel
will not hide. What am I missing?
