[Discover] [Bug 407740] New: French translation : main menu category name shorter

2019-05-19 Thread Rokin
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=407740

Bug ID: 407740
Summary: French translation : main menu category name shorter
   Product: Discover
   Version: unspecified
  Platform: Other
OS: Linux
Status: REPORTED
  Severity: normal
  Priority: NOR
 Component: discover
  Assignee: lei...@leinir.dk
  Reporter: w...@rokin.in
CC: aleix...@kde.org
  Target Milestone: ---

Hi, i'm not sure if I should post this here or elsewhere :x

This is not really a bug but a slight visual problem of the text of the menu
with the French language that is present from the beginning.

The translation is correct but the length of the name of the category (root)
menu makes it difficult to differentiate two categories (Application modules
and Plasma modules)

I put a screenshot to just understand

Current menu translation :
> Applications
> Applications : Modules complémentaires
> Plasma : Modules complémentaires

Suggest : something shorter like :
> Applications
> Applications : Modules complémentaires
> Plasma : Modules complémentaires
or
> Applications
> Modules Applications
> Modules Plasma

===

STEPS TO REPRODUCE :
 1. Open (root) page of Discover app.

OBSERVED RESULT :
The length of the text menu makes it difficult to differentiate two
categories.
