I dont think its related to faulty memory . i ran a memcheck to confirm . It
happens on 2 of our computers which use only krita .

one thing consistent  when crashing using the appimage is when the artist uses
the transform tool and scales the portion and presses enter . krita hangs like
for 2 - 3 secs and crashes . but when trying to reproduce it doesnt crash . its
like almost random .. but the steps taken by the artist when it crashes is the
almost same 90% of the time  .. use transform tool - > scale - > press enter .

I just updated to the 5.8 branch and the system with dual DP and  HDMI monitors
started giving issues like before again!!! . panels not in primary monitor ,
settings getting lost after every reboot . Its really irritating to use in
production . I am sorry If i am venting my frustrations here . but imagine my
situation when i have deployed it in a production environement !!! . Artist
here are not able to use kde as its supposed to be used . Everytime nuking the
.config . .cache .local is NOT an option!! .

There is no every 5 mins crash now :) . also its random . when the artist are
busy painting or sometimes not paiting . it just crashes with that same
segfault with glibc . i suspect the glibc version .

i am running the app image now .. didnt have the time to do a debug build. The
app image is much better .. and crashes like 3-4 times a day .. trust me .. its
much better than the live version . also we are using glibc 2.23 .

FYI : we also work in a hostile environment where the home directory and
production storage are network based.

Please help here. We are trying to use Krita in our studio and its giving
problems like crazy . crashing randomly every 5 - 10 mins .
Artists are feeling very uncomfortable .
