(Screenshot 1, too dark transparency) also sometimes on top when it does not reliably switch to non-floating when windows are maximized. (Screenshot 2). It also happens when set to non-transparent (Screenshot 3) STEPS TO REPRODUCE graphical glitches on transparency surrounding the floating panel always appear for me when the panel is in floating mode. I tried different settings (non transparent, icc profile on/off, unfloat/float) but it keeps the glitch. changing wallpaper makes it go away until windows are maximized and minimized again and the panel switches from unfloating to floating. ISO images from type UDF (Universal Disk Format ISO 13346) can not be opened. I regularly enounter many isos of type udf. To my knowledge, every blu-ray and hd-dvd iso is UDF and since some years, all microsoft windows install ISOs (like Win 7, 10, 11, Server 2022) I currently work around this by using the dolphin plugin "mount iso" https://invent.kde.org/sdk/dolphin-plugins but it would be nice if ark could handle this, like it handles basically all other archive formats. this bug report was closed with "RESOLVED UPSTREAM" but it is not actually resolved anywhere. The issue still persists and imho the bug therefore should stay open. maybe the limitation comes from libarchive or whatever but the problem surfaces in Ark :-). maybe something else than libarchive is needed (no idea) other still open bug reports are about other formats bug 431703 mdf+mds format (not iso extension) bug 278381 valid iso9660 iso (not udf) -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes.

[dolphin] [Bug 482322] New: Keyboard shortcut Ctrl+0 should reset to user set default icon size and not the smallest icon size
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=482322 Bug ID: 482322 Summary: Keyboard shortcut Ctrl+0 should reset to user set default icon size and not the smallest icon size Classification: Applications Product: dolphin Version: 24.02.0 Platform: Gentoo Packages OS: Linux Status: REPORTED Severity: minor Priority: NOR Component: view-engine: details mode Assignee: dolphin-bugs-n...@kde.org Reporter: sighun...@gmx.de CC: kfm-de...@kde.org Target Milestone: --- SUMMARY Premise: I use the details view for everything and I've set "use same style for all directories" (paraphrased) In dolphin's settings under "View" you can set a default icon size (16 px, 32 px, 48 px, etc.) By default there is a keyboard shortcut Ctrl+0 called "Reset Zoom Level". The problem: The keyboard shortcut Ctrl+0 always resets icon size to smallest zoom level (16 px) and not to the user configured _default_ icon size. In my opinion, this is a bug. I want the icons to always be 32 px and the shortcut to reset it back to default does some arbitrary other size that I never use. I have to press Ctrl+0, Ctrl++, Ctrl++ to get my desired size. The solution: Ctrl+0 should use the configured default icon size or preview size for the current view mode (icons, compact, details) and not the smallest size STEPS TO REPRODUCE 1. configure user default icon size or preview size in dolphin's settings 2. change size to anything larger than 16 px 3. press ctrl+0 in normal view (not settings) OBSERVED RESULT icon size gets set back to the smallest possible icon size (16 px) EXPECTED RESULT icon size should get set to the user configured default size SOFTWARE/OS VERSIONS Linux/KDE Plasma: Gentoo KDE Plasma Version: 6.0.0 KDE Frameworks Version: 6.0.0 Qt Version: 6.6.2 ADDITIONAL INFORMATION I hope you agree with my proposal. [dolphin] [Bug 428950] Dolphin's Search does not respect wildcards and ignores period symbol
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=428950 SigHunter changed: What|Removed |Added CC||sighun...@gmx.de --- Comment #3 from SigHunter --- I stumbled upon this behavior yesterday and IMO it is very confusing to users and took me some time to analyze: In short: baloo enabled (default): basic wildcard search (like *.jpg for all jpg files) works ONLY for indexed folders but wildcards don't work for non indexed folders and network shares mounted via dolphin baloo disabled: basic wildcards never work (*.jpg no results) The documentation https://docs.kde.org/stable5/en/dolphin/dolphin/quick-tips.html specificially states that wildcards should yield the same results as without wildcards "The search is case insensitive, and does not require surrounding wildcards (*foo* and foo are equivalent), but you can use wildcards inside the search term. * will match zero or more characters, ? only one single character." Expected fix: the search provider for everything that is not baloo indexed (I guess this is kio_filenamesearch) should support wildcards, like searching in baloo indexed folders does. the search syntax should be identical. having different search results depending on search location is confusing and feels unreliable. I want to be able to trust the file search. Sure, using regex could be a workaround for advanced users, but is only necessary for those non-indexed folders or when baloo is disabled. you have to specifically know this behavior and regex is not user friendly, a basic *.jpg search should always work, like it does in mlocate or windows Dolphin 23.04.01 and KDE 5.27.5 on Gentoo -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes.
