https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=487498 --- Comment #6 from Simone --- Hello, it took me long to figure this out. [plasmashell] [Bug 482711] New: Switching keyboard mapping doesn't work
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=482711 Bug ID: 482711 Summary: Switching keyboard mapping doesn't work Classification: Plasma Product: plasmashell Version: 6.0.1 Platform: Arch Linux OS: Linux Status: REPORTED Severity: normal Priority: NOR Component: Keyboard Layout Assignee: plasma-b...@kde.org Reporter: sim...@omni.it CC: butir...@gmail.com Target Milestone: 1.0 SUMMARY I have a keyboard with an Italian layout, and I used to use Italian keyboard mapping. I've upgraded to KDE6 and now I'm stuck with the English layout. STEPS TO REPRODUCE 1. Go to system settings -> keyboard -> mappings 2. Enable keyboard mapping 3. Add any mapping (I've tried Italian and German) 4. Click on `apply` 5. Try to enter text using non-alphanumeric characters, and see that you're still using English layout Note that the OSD display shows the correct language if/when "switching" layout using the meta/alt/k combo. The systray indicator, instead, always says "EN". [plasma-pa] [Bug 435199] Offer a choice whether mute actions mute all relevant devices, or just the default one
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=435199 Simone Gaiarin changed: What|Removed |Added CC||simg...@gmail.com --- Comment #3 from Simone Gaiarin --- I also like the idea of multiple shortcuts. My personal preference is that the defaults mute all input/outputs. My rationale regarding muting all microphone is that I mainly mute the microphone during online meetings so I want to be 100% sure to be muted. When I have multiple microphones (plus virtual input sources like the noise cancelling one) that can be associated to multiple applications (messed up ones like Microsoft Teams) and considering the various quirkiness of bluetooth audio devices, pipewire and so on I never trust that muting the default input is actually muting the application I am using for the meeting. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes.

Note if I disable 'lock after wake from sleep', the problem disappears. STEPS TO REPRODUCE 1. With an external monitor connected through Notebook-DP > DP-HDMI adapter > Monitor-HDMI, put the notebook to sleep (it locks the screen) 2. Disconnect the HDMI cable 3. Wake the notebook up ALTERNATIVE STEPS TO REPRODUCE 1. With an external monitor connected through Notebook-DP > DP-HDMI adapter > Monitor-HDMI, put the notebook to sleep (it locks the screen) 2. Wake the notebook up (lock screen is visible on both screens) 3. Disconnected the HDMI cable OBSERVED RESULT Black screen with cursor on the notebook screen EXPECTED RESULT Lock screen where I can type the password should be visible Operating System: Manjaro Linux KDE Plasma Version: 5.22.4 KDE Frameworks Version: 5.84.0 Qt Version: 5.15.2 Kernel Version: 5.10.53-1-MANJARO (64-bit) Graphics Platform: X11 Processors: 4 × Intel® Core™ i5-7200U CPU @ 2.50GHz Memory: 15.5 GiB of RAM Graphics Processor: Mesa Intel® HD Graphics 620 -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes.
