gsettings set org.gnome.desktop.interface color-scheme 'prefer-dark' seems to
fix it, I just haven't looked close enough.

[kde] [Bug 459916] New: Non-system applications appear in light mode after update

2022-10-02 Thread SirLennox
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=459916

Bug ID: 459916
Summary: Non-system applications appear in light mode after
update
Classification: I don't know
   Product: kde
   Version: unspecified
  Platform: Fedora RPMs
OS: Linux
Status: REPORTED
  Severity: normal
  Priority: NOR
 Component: general
  Assignee: unassigned-b...@kde.org
  Reporter: sirlennox...@gmail.com
  Target Milestone: ---

SUMMARY

NOTE: If you are reporting a crash, please try to attach a backtrace with debug

STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. Update fedora on 02/09/22
2. Open a non-system application like firefox, amberol

OBSERVED RESULT
The window decoration is light-mode (selected Breeze Application Style, Breeze
Plasma-Style, Breeze-Dark Colors and Breeze Window Decoration)

EXPECTED RESULT
Everything looks fine

SOFTWARE/OS VERSIONS
Windows:
macOS:
Linux/KDE Plasma:
(available in About System)
KDE Plasma Version:
KDE Frameworks Version:
Qt Version:

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
An update was available today, it doesn't fix the issue. Restarting the system
doesn't fix it too. Reselecting / Switching the window decoration etc. doesn't
seem to solve it too. I customized firefox to be dark mode, the search bar,
bookmarks and opened tabs doesn't seem to be affected from this. System window
borders are dark mode. Applications like dolphin, system settings, discover
aren't affected. An application based on GTK4 and libadwaita
"gsettings set org.gnome.desktop.interface color-scheme 'prefer-dark' " seems
to "fix" it, but there is no way I can set a custom color scheme and I don't
know why this is not customizable with System Settings.

Is there like a documentation or something about this?

To fix this bug window borders must be clearly defined by any window decoration
that adds transparent pixels that shouldn't be blurred AND the blur effect has
to implement the window borders, so it won't blur pixels outside of the
borders.

[kwin] [Bug 441379] Ghost window after closing or moving application window

2022-09-09 Thread SirLennox
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=441379

(In reply to Vlad Zahorodnii from comment #3)
> No, how can you reproduce the bug?

Just by having Translucency turned on and focusing another window while closing
the other one I guess. It happened to me as I had a popup window that asked me
if I want to exit a program, I clicked yes and the window stayed there as
"ghost window". As I disabled Translucency the ghost window disappeared. This
often happens to me maybe sometimes under other conditions, so I am not sure if
this is the only reproduction.
