This may be intentional, in which case a config option would be nice. It's different than the X11 behavior, however. STEPS TO REPRODUCE 1. Open two apps, e.g. kate and dolphin 2. Open a dialog in dolphin - Configure for example 3. Click on kate to focus that window 4. Click back on dolphin's Configure window to focus it 5. Close the Configure window OBSERVED RESULT Window focus goes back to kate EXPECTED RESULT Focus goes to dolphin's main window SOFTWARE/OS VERSIONS Linux/KDE Plasma: 6.0.3 KDE Plasma Version: KDE Frameworks Version: 6.0.0 Qt Version: 6.7.0 -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes.

[frameworks-baloo] [Bug 471289] automount/x-systemd-automount nfs resource changes inode on every mount and so reindexes is triggered
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=471289 Tomas Trnka changed: What|Removed |Added CC||tomastr...@gmx.com --- Comment #2 from Tomas Trnka --- (In reply to tagwerk19 from comment #1) > That looks like the inode is OK but the device number is changing each > reboot/remount. This is something that's been affecting BTRFS mounts, > interesting to see that it's catching NFS as well. Yes, of the most common filesystems on Linux, Btrfs, NFS, and CIFS (a.k.a. SMB) all use dynamically allocated device numbers, so they are all affected the same way. > There is a merge request drafted, specifically for the BTRFS case, that > might also deal with this: > https://invent.kde.org/frameworks/baloo/-/merge_requests/131 It will probably help, depending on server configuration. The Linux NFS server will by default use the FSID of the underlying filesystem when presenting an export to clients, so the Linux NFS client should expose an unique FSID. However, the server could be running something like XFS as the underlying filesystem (which does not have a stable FSID), or the exported FSID can be overridden in server configuration, possibly making it non-unique across servers. If server A exports a custom fsid=123 and server B exports a different filesystem with the same custom fsid, a client mounting both filesystems will see two unrelated trees with the same FSID. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes.
[frameworks-baloo] [Bug 402154] Baloo reindexes everything after every reboot when using BTRFS filesystem
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=402154 --- Comment #48 from Tomas Trnka --- Created attachment 159031 --> https://bugs.kde.org/attachment.cgi?id=159031=edit Patch making Baloo use the FSID as device ID Until somebody implements one of the fancy solutions proposed in the comments above, here is a fairly trivial stop-gap fix for the issue. With this patch, Baloo derives the device ID from the FSID instead of the device number. This fixes the issue completely for Btrfs and ext4 (where the FSID is derived from the UUID of the filesystem plus subvolume ID on Btrfs) while it does not hurt XFS and similar filesystems (where the FSID is just the device number, so nothing really changes). I'm going to submit a Gitlab merge request for this shortly, but here's the patch if anyone wants to try it out. For inspiration, here's a patched RPM built on Copr for Fedora: https://copr.fedorainfracloud.org/coprs/tootea/earlybird/build/5922301/ After installing a patched Baloo, things will be reindexed once (because all the device IDs will change) and then never again. It's best to run balooctl purge to first get rid of all the old duplicates with various device IDs (and logout to pick up the new libraries and make search work again). -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes.

Logs indicate that it could be related to the new multiscreen support. Anyway - ever since upgrading from plasma 5.26 to 5.27.0 on a dual-monitor setup, I have started getting a really strange issue in about 1/3 of cases. It goes like this: * First, you need to leave the machine idle long enough for the powersaver to kick in and turn off the monitors * Then, mouse/keyboard events enable the monitors correctly, but "enter password" dialog doesn't appear, the lock screen behaves as if it were frozen. You can still enter the password blindly and press enter, however * When you do this, you are greeted by a long list of dr konqi reports about crashed applications. In every single case, the backtrace looks like this: [KCrash Handler] #4 0x7f90efef506d in () at /lib64/libQt5XcbQpa.so.5 #5 0x7f90efef90ff in () at /lib64/libQt5XcbQpa.so.5 #6 0x7f90efef8400 in () at /lib64/libQt5XcbQpa.so.5 #7 0x7f90efed4524 in QXcbConnection::handleXcbEvent(xcb_generic_event_t*) () at /lib64/libQt5XcbQpa.so.5 #8 0x7f90efed54b6 in QXcbConnection::processXcbEvents(QFlags) () at /lib64/libQt5XcbQpa.so.5 #9 0x7f90efefb143 in () at /lib64/libQt5XcbQpa.so.5 #10 0x7f90f7f27a90 in g_main_context_dispatch () at /lib64/libglib-2.0.so.0 #11 0x7f90f7f27e48 in () at /lib64/libglib-2.0.so.0 #12 0x7f90f7f27edc in g_main_context_iteration () at /lib64/libglib-2.0.so.0 #13 0x7f90fbf33c16 in QEventDispatcherGlib::processEvents(QFlags) () at /lib64/libQt5Core.so.5 #14 0x7f90fbedac5b in QEventLoop::exec(QFlags) () at /lib64/libQt5Core.so.5 #15 0x7f90fbee2dc6 in QCoreApplication::exec() () at /lib64/libQt5Core.so.5 #16 0x55d2152ef701 in () #17 0x7f90fb62caf0 in __libc_start_call_main () at /lib64/libc.so.6 #18 0x7f90fb62cbb9 in __libc_start_main_impl () at /lib64/libc.so.6 #19 0x55d2152f0065 in () [Inferior 1 (process 2930) detached] Non-KDE apps like firefox survive. Yes, I think that's a correct behavior if you have selected "Highlight Windows" only in the settings. But if you have selected "Preview and Highlight", it is more logic with a behavior as I described: When the application icon is hovered, there should only be a "Preview" (and "Highlight" only when the mouse pointer hovers the "Preview"). You can compare this with how this functionality behaves in gnome with the shell extension "Dash to Panel" (and also in Windows 10 panel). They both behave as I think also Latte should handle this, when you have both "Preview and Highlight" selected in the settings. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes.

Open "Edit Dock" and select "Preview and Highlight Windows" in the "Settings/Tasks Actions/Hover" 2. Close "Edit Dock" OBSERVED RESULT 1. Open any number (more than one) of application windows on the desktop. 2. Hover an icon for any of the open applications with the mouse pointer and keep the pointer still over the icon. 3. Watch the preview to pop up, and also the application window to be highlighted on the desktop. 4. Then move the pointer from the icon to the preview and back again to the same icon. 5. Watch the preview to still be displayed, and the application window to not be highlighted. 6. Then move the pointer from the same icon to the preview again and watch the application window to be highlighted. 7. Moving the pointer to and from the same preview will now also toggle application window highlight (this is how it should be). It is only the first time the pointer move to hover any icon for an open application window that behaves wrong. EXPECTED RESULT 1. Open any number (more than one) of application windows on the desktop. 2. Hover an icon for any of the open applications with the mouse pointer and keep the pointer still over the icon. 3. Watch the preview to pop up and no highlighting occurring. 4. Then move the pointer from the same icon to the preview and watch the application window to be highlighted. 5.
