Stimmt!

Passendes.

Viele Grüße

Greetings,

and thank you for the fast reply! I was indeed referring
to what is called "Places" menu in English. With you help
I was able to purge the list of "places" manually.

"system settings" of which program? The Dolphin configuration
menu does not have a "system settings" menu. Perhaps I am
confused because I am using Dolphin with German language setting,
but I cannot recognize any menu points that deal with file tracking.

[dolphin] [Bug 463617] New: unwanted disclosure of directory names (privacy issue)

2022-12-30 Thread Ulrich Deiters
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=463617

Bug ID: 463617
Summary: unwanted disclosure of directory names (privacy issue)
Classification: Applications
   Product: dolphin
   Version: 21.12.3
  Platform: OpenSUSE
OS: Linux
Status: REPORTED
  Severity: wishlist
  Priority: NOR
 Component: bars: location
  Assignee: dolphin-bugs-n...@kde.org
  Reporter: ulrich.deit...@gmx.de
CC: kfm-de...@kde.org
  Target Milestone: ---

When a Dolphin instance is opened, the menu bar shows the symbol "personal
folder", followed by the actual folder path (/ > home > my_name > …). A click
on the "personal folder" symbol shows a menu containing a long list of the
folders and devices that used during the previous months.

I do not want Dolphin to memorize all my movements. Can I purge the list? Or
better: Can I set up Dolphin in such a way that the menu shows *only* the
personal folder, the root folder, and eventually the mount points of mounted
file systems.

STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. Open a Dolphin instance with a menu bar containing an address field
2. Click on the "personal folder" symbol
3.

OBSERVED RESULT
A drop-down menu opend that shows the previously visited folders.

EXPECTED RESULT
… should merely show the persola folder, the root folder, and eventually
mounted file systems

SOFTWARE/OS VERSIONS

macOS:
Linux/KDE Plasma: openSUSE Leap 15.4
