[kio-gdrive] [Bug 464772] New: kio-gdrive successfully authenticates but fails to list content

2023-01-24 Thread Uri Herrera
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=464772

Bug ID: 464772
Summary: kio-gdrive successfully authenticates but fails to
list content
Classification: Frameworks and Libraries
   Product: kio-gdrive
   Version: 22.12.1
  Platform: Neon
OS: Linux
Status: REPORTED
  Severity: normal
  Priority: NOR
 Component: general
  Assignee: elvis.angelac...@kde.org
  Reporter: uri_herr...@nxos.org
  Target Milestone: ---

kio-gdrive successfully authenticates but fails to list content displaying the
following error: "userActionFinished error: 10"

STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. Add a Google account using System Settings>Online Accounts
2. Open a terminal window and run: kioclient5 ls 'gdrive:/'
3. Error is displayed

OBSERVED RESULT
Content is not listed, and the authentication expires almost immediately.

EXPECTED RESULT
Google Drive contents are listed.

SOFTWARE/OS VERSIONS
KDE Plasma Version: 5.26.5
KDE Frameworks Version: 5.102.0
Qt Version: 5.15.8

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
As I mentioned, adding the account works; the sign-in dialog closes after
getting the authorization request on my phone and accepting it. However, the
content is not listed, and it does not matter if I remove the account and add
it again.

The icon that Plasma uses for Bluetooth in the system tray comes from the SVG
file preferences.svgz and not from network.svgz. Other network-related icons
like Ethernet or WiFi are loaded from network.sgvz but not Bluetooth.

It appears to me that the icons in preferences.svgz were intended for something
else but they are being used instead of the Bluetooth icons in network.svgz.

Tried it like this:

[kwinrc][org.kde.kdecoration2]
library=org.kde.kwin.aurorae
theme=__aurorae__svg__$themename

And it works. the important bit is: theme=__aurorae__svg__

I don't know why this: __aurorae__svg__

is required imo it should just need the name of the theme.

That would be X-KDE-PluginInfo-Name=$NAME though I also tried it that way
without any change.

I also noticed that Kwin was giving some errors because it wasn't finding some
files:

kwin-decoration.desktop
kwin-effect.desktop
kwin-script.desktop

They seem to have been renamed to:

kwindecoration.desktop
kwineffect.desktop
kwinscript.desktop

I simply used a symlink. No errors now.

The only hint I have is that when I change the theme from Breeze to an Aurorae
theme Kwin outputs: aurorae: Couldn't find QML Decoration ""

But I'm not sure what error is about.

The Look and Feel KCM doesn't apply the Aurorae theme that's specified in the
package config file. It does apply every other component like color schemes,
icon theme, widget theme and Plasma theme.

The defaults file I used had these lines:

[kwinrc][WindowDecoration]
library=$THEME

Simply using the theme name loaded the decoration but that doesn't work anymore
and defaults to use Breeze.

I see why this is happening. both themes are sharing the same index file. I
honestly don't see why that was necessary, besides it causes this confusion.

wouldn't work until I changed the name.

For instance the background worked after I changed the name from Nomad to

2016-10-08 Thread Uri Herrera via KDE Bugzilla

Bug ID: 370313
Summary: Aurorae doesn't display close button background if

   Product: kwin
   Version: 5.8.0
  Platform: Neon Packages
OS: Linux
Status: UNCONFIRMED
  Severity: normal
  Priority: NOR
 Component: aurorae
  Assignee: kwin-bugs-n...@kde.org
  Reporter: uri_herr...@nitrux.in

I can't describe the bug better than that. Aurorae refuses to use the close
button background if the theme is named Nomad. Changing the name to anything
else works fine.

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Copy an Aurorae theme, rename it Nomad
2. Open system settings and change the theme
3. Close button is invisible

Actual Results:
Aurorae doesn't display close button background.

Expected Results:
Aurorae displays close button background.

I literally copied a working theme and tested that by changing the name to
Nomad and it refused to display the close button background file until I
changed back the name.

3. See duplicated Breeze entries

Actual Results:
Breeze appears twice in the list of icon themes.

[plasmashell] [Bug 366538] Folder plasmoid incorrectly scales elements in action-overlays.svgz

This is how the image used by the button should really look like when zoomed
in: http://i.imgur.com/Ip2oiOm.png

You can see that all the squares are aligned to the grid in Inkscape and should
be displayed exactly like that. Which is not the case.

Ok, the button uses a 24x24 image. In the screenshot I created an image for it,
the green square is 24x24 which is the area that the button uses. Normally this
would be transparent. Then I added a yellow square, this square is 18x18. In
the screenshot you can see that both squares don't have any jagged edges, that
means the pixels are being fully used by the image, this is known as pixel
perfect.

Then, I added a red square, this square is 16x16, this square unlike the others
for some reason is not being displayed correctly, you can see that it's sort of
covering the yellow square below it.

The same happens with the darker cyan square.

But if I remove those two squares:

http://i.imgur.com/4DCWSbE.png

Now the button is fine. All squares are displayed correctly.

http://i.imgur.com/gh2luFK.png

This is the file on Inkscape. On Inkscape each square on its grid is a pixel.
The difference in size between each square is 6px; 3x3x3x3.

The blurring only happens when that difference in size is 2px; 1x1x1x1.

[plasmashell] [Bug 366538] New: Folder plasmoid incorrectly scales elements in action-overlays.svgz

2016-08-08 Thread Uri Herrera via KDE Bugzilla

Bug ID: 366538
Summary: Folder plasmoid incorrectly scales elements in
action-overlays.svgz
   Product: plasmashell
   Version: 5.6.5
  Platform: Ubuntu Packages
OS: Linux
Status: UNCONFIRMED
  Severity: normal
  Priority: NOR
 Component: Folder
  Assignee: h...@kde.org
  Reporter: uri_herr...@nitrux.in
CC: plasma-b...@kde.org

The plasmoid seems to have problems scaling objects. When an object is i.e.
18px and the object below is 16px the object that is 16px is not scaled
properly but when the object is 14px the object is scaled properly. They key
difference are those 2 pixels.

These files demonstrate the issue:
1. https://goo.gl/53OFAC <-- action-overlays.svgz
2. https://goo.gl/vVJPcT <-- action-overlays-2.svgz

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Download action-overlays.svgz and add the Folder widget to the desktop.
2. Replace default file in any Plasma theme.
3. Use Kmag to zoom into the widgets' buttons.
4. open-normal is blurred.
5. Download action-overlays-2.svgz
6. Replace file, reload Plasma.
7. open-normal is not blurred.

Actual Results:
The svgz file is blurry.

Expected Results:
The svgz is not blurry.

Both files are pixel perfect, this should not happen. Also, the elements are
24px instead of 22px.

When enabled Kate toolbar icons use the correct icons with the exception of
"Close document" this button uses [window-close] when it should use
[document-close]. The button clearly states that it's for closing the document
not the window and clicking it when there's no open documents doesn't close
Kate.

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Open Kate
2. Enable toolbar
3. Change window-close to something else
4. Kate picks up this change

Actual Results:
Kate uses an icon that doesn't match the action

Expected Results:
Kate uses an icon that matches the action

This change is as simple as changing the line of code that calles for
window-close to document-close.

[Spectacle] [Bug 362160] New: Saved screenshots have problems when other non KDE software access them

  Platform: Other
OS: Linux
Status: UNCONFIRMED
  Severity: grave
  Priority: NOR
 Component: General
  Assignee: m...@baloneygeek.com
  Reporter: uri_herr...@nitrux.in

I really can only explain it like this: Spectacle saves screenshots correctly
and these screenshots can be viewed with Dolphin, Gwenview.. but for exmaple
when I try to upload that same file using Chrome it complains, depending on the
site, that it's not a valid file, it's size is zero or that it's not the right
format.

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Take a screenshot
2. Try to upload anywhere using non KDE software
3. Errors happen

Actual Results:
Non KDE software can't open images.

Expected Results:
Image works fine everywhere.

The mime type is fine and here's an interesting bit, if I import the image to
Inkscape and export it the image then works.

Emblems are literally indistinguishable at this size in any icon theme
including Breeze and Oxygen and the size it's so small that it makes it nearly
impossible to create a meaningful icon in the size it's probably requiring
them, I'm estimating that it's 8px or less.

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Open Dolphin
2. Change to Icon view
3. Move slider to 22px

Actual Results:
Indistinguishable emblem icons.

Expected Results:
No emblem icons.

[dolphin] [Bug 361070] New: No icon for .woff and wrong icon for .eot font files.

2016-03-27 Thread Uri Herrera via KDE Bugzilla
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=361070

Bug ID: 361070
Summary: No icon for .woff and wrong icon for .eot font files.
   Product: dolphin
   Version: 15.12.3

OS: Linux
Status: UNCONFIRMED
  Severity: normal
  Priority: NOR
 Component: view-engine: icons mode
  Assignee: dolphin-bugs-n...@kde.org
  Reporter: uri_herr...@nitrux.in

Dolphin doesn't display an icon for .woff files and uses an unrelated icon for
.eot files. I filed it against Dolphin but this happens in every other
application.

.woff font files mimetype is application/font-woff
.eot font files mimetype is: application/vnd.ms-fontobject

Using the file names for .woff files:
1. application-font-woff
2. application-x-font-woff

Don't load an icon.

And using this for e.ot files:
1. application-vnd.ms-fontobject

Doesn't change the icon either.

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Open Dolphin.
2. Got to a folder with .woff and .eot font files in it.
3.

Actual Results:
.woff font files don't have an icon.
.eot font files use application-octet-stream.

Expected Results:
Font files would use an icon.

Like I mentioned I've tried changing the names of files in the mimetypes folder
to those above but nothing changes. Dolphin does seem to recognize .woff files
as it displays information in the status bar about the file but it says unknown
for .eot files.

Dolphin is using an action icon instead of an emblem icon for read-only files
and folders. This behavior is not consistent as other emblems are used
correctly like symbolic links. This is not noticeable with Breeze or Oxygen
but it is noticeable with themes that use different styles for these icons.

2. Open Dolphin
3. View read-only folder or file

Expected Results:
Dolphin should use an emblem.

it is possible that Dolphin is using lock or object-locked when it should be
using emblem-nowrite, emblem-readonly, emblem-locked or
emblem-encrypted-locked.
