[kwin] [Bug 458638] New: When using transparency, when moving a window and closing it, the program window does not close

2022-09-02 Thread X_Server Linuxoid
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=458638

Bug ID: 458638
Summary: When using transparency, when moving a window and
closing it, the program window does not close
   Product: kwin
   Version: 5.25.4
  Platform: Archlinux Packages
OS: Linux
Status: REPORTED
  Severity: normal
  Priority: NOR
 Component: compositing
  Assignee: kwin-bugs-n...@kde.org
  Reporter: demetrykravche...@gmail.com
  Target Milestone: ---

Created attachment 151783
  --> https://bugs.kde.org/attachment.cgi?id=151783=edit
Visual description of the bug

I'm using the transparency effect when moving windows, which was recently
disabled by default in KDE Plasma. I recently noticed that when using it, a bug
occurs due to which the program window (any window, be it the main, modal or
dialog) does not completely disappear when closed. Instead of completely
closing the window, it leaves a transparent plume

STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. Enable transparency effect in System Settings: Workspace Behavior > Desktop
Effects, mark the effect "Translucency"
2. Launch any program so that its window appears
3. Grab the window with the mouse cursor to make the window transparent, then
close it with Alt + F4

SOFTWARE/OS VERSIONS
Linux/KDE Plasma: Arch Linux
KDE Plasma Version: 5.25.4
KDE Frameworks Version: 5.97
Qt Version: 5.15.5

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
With the transparency effect turned off, this bug does not appear. X11 session
in use. Fixable only by relogin or rebooting. This bug also works with windows
that can close on their own (like progress bars, the Steam login window, etc)

[filelight] [Bug 458601] New: Black text on dark theme

2022-09-01 Thread X_Server Linuxoid
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=458601

Bug ID: 458601
Summary: Black text on dark theme
   Product: filelight
   Version: 22.08.0
  Platform: Archlinux Packages
OS: Linux
Status: REPORTED
  Severity: normal

Created attachment 151765
  --> https://bugs.kde.org/attachment.cgi?id=151765=edit
Visual description of the error

First of all, I would like to thank you for your work! In KDE Gears 22.08, the
look and feel of Filelight has become more convenient and pleasant :)
However, I noticed one nuisance: with a dark theme, the pop-up text is drawn in
black, and not in white, as it should be. Because of this, the readability of
the text is almost completely reduced to "no"

STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. Apply KDE Plasma dark theme (whether Breeze Dark or third party theme)
2. Launch Filelight and start scanning for free space anywhere on your drive

SOFTWARE/OS VERSIONS
Linux/KDE Plasma: Arch Linux
KDE Plasma Version: 5.25.4
KDE Frameworks Version: 5.97
Qt Version: 5.15.5

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
No similar bug appears with any light theme. Only in dark theme. There have
also been attempts to fix this by deleting the KDE Plasma cache and configs in
~/.config, ~/.cache and ~/.local/share - no result

Addition:
Applied the Breeze theme for "Plasma Style", thereby changing the appearance of
the panel and widgets - the problem is gone! So, the problem was in the custom
theme... However, the bug previously appeared on the stock Breeze theme as
well, but it seems that it is no longer there

Visual description of the bug

After a recent update, a bug appeared in systemsettings that spoiled the
appearance of the program. Added horizontal, static scroll bars that didn't
exist before and do nothing

STEPS TO REPRODUCE
Simply launch systemsettings in sidebar mode, then go to, for example, hotkey
settings

SOFTWARE/OS VERSIONS
Linux/KDE Plasma: Arch Linux
KDE Plasma Version: 5.25.4
KDE Frameworks Version: 5.97
Qt Version: 5.15.5

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
This bug appeared quite recently, but I don't remember which packages were
updated - most likely after the KDE Gears update... Also, this bug only appears
in sidebar mode. In icon mode, there are only unnecessary horizontal
scrollbars, but there is no unnecessary padding. I also tried completely
deleting the configuration files and creating a new user, but it did not help

This image visually describes the bug

In some KDE Plasma widgets (battery widget and plasma-nm) unnecessary lines
were found, in other words - "bars". They were missing in earlier versions. In
the case of battery widget, they appear if, for example, playing video or audio
in any player/web browser. In the case of plasma-nm, it is enough to expand the
"curtain" of any connection by clicking on the arrow next to the "Connect"
button

STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. Open these two widgets (plasma-nm and battery widget)
2. For battery widget: get a notification in it that an application is
preventing you from going to sleep. For example, run a video in any web browser
or play an audio
3. For plasma-nm: open the widget, click on the arrow next to the "Connect"
button for any network access point
