This is a regression from KDE Plasma 5. The clock text number is not following
the system locale. My locale is ar_OM.UTF-8 which follows Eastern Arabic
numerals. However, the time is displayed in English numerals.

Please note that the tool tip is displaying the numbers correctly in my locale.

I'm using KDE neon unstable git20240420.

Unfortunately, the issue is still there in:
Operating System: Kubuntu 23.04

Qt Version: 5.15.8

I increase the importance to High because with current situation, RTL users
can't rearrange the task bar. They must change to English then rearrange the
task bar then comeback to RTL language.

Open Dialog in RTL mode showing Tree View starting from lift

SUMMARY
***
Currently, in the RTL language environment, the tree widget in Detail view
doesn't support RTL. Currently, the view is forced to be LTR mode (i.e.
starting from lift side). Qt is support RTL tree view (see
https://bugsfiles.kde.org/attachment.cgi?id=145970 )

For reference:
Bug#189994 is the original bug report. However, since Qt support the RTL tree
widget, we need to open bug report for each custom implementation of tree
widget.
Bug#449211 is bug report for Dolphin custom detail view issue.

***

STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. Run any KDE app (using standard KDE open dialog) in reverse mode, for
example: kate -reverse
2. Go file --> Open file

OBSERVED RESULT
The tree start from lift

EXPECTED RESULT
The tree should start from right.

Dolphin is using a custom widget (i.e. KStandardItemListWidget), so it is not
related anymore to kdeui.

However, the issue is still existing in KDE open/save dialog.

After more investigation, I observe the following:
If I switch to English layout and then switch back again to Arabic layout. The
layout will be correct.
If I am in the Arabic Layout, and I change the task manager to any alternative
one, I will not be able to move the system tray nor the clock to the left
corner (same as video in comment 3).

It seems the math of the new positions of widgets after the drag is not
accounting for RTL mode conditions.

Bug ID: 448072

   Product: lokalize
   Version: unspecified
  Platform: Other
OS: Linux
Status: REPORTED
  Severity: normal

Created attachment 145198

overlapped text in context menu (RTL layout + Arabic Interface)

SUMMARY
***
As the editor view of source entry area is set to Left to Right in English to
Arabic projects, the context menu layout is RTL (following the parent widget by
default) . This cause an issue when the Application interface is Arabic. In
that situation the context menu "text" overlap with "shortcuts". Please see the
attachment.

I think the context menu layout should be forced (maybe something like
menu->setLayoutDirection(Qt::RightToLeft) ) to follow the main application
layout (either RTL or LTR)

***

STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. Set the project to translate from English to Arabic
2. Run the lokalize with Arabic interface
3. Open any file, for example this one:
http://websvn.kde.org/*checkout*/trunk/l10n-kf5/ar/messages/lokalize/lokalize._desktop_.po
4- go to the source text view.
5- right click and see the context menu

OBSERVED RESULT
the context menu "text" overlap with "shortcuts"

EXPECTED RESULT
the context menu "text" should align to right with "shortcuts"

Sure, I don't agree because we as RTL user start looking from right to left and
this is the opposite! For media player, it is somehow accepted since the UI is
very simple and every thing is force to be LTR mode. To do that in Krita the
whole dock must be LTR which will weird when everything is in RTL mode.

The slider should follow the layout of the timeline dock. If it is RTL the
progress should start from right (0%) to left (100%)

I would add the default layout of workspace should be mirrored as well in RTL

status bar at right postion in RTL mode

SUMMARY
***
As status bar doesn't support RTL mode (i.e force every thing to be in RTL
mode), I face issue when I have mixed files name (English name and Arabic
name). The status bar shows English name at the left and Arabic name at the
right. This is confusing. Currently status bar in RTL mode (dolphin -reverse)
showing every thing the right except in one case which when the selected item
is just one file. I achieve that by putting RIGHT-TO-LEFT MARK U+200F in the
translation file for all the cases in DolphinView::emitStatusBarText
(https://lxr.kde.org/source/system/dolphin/src/views/dolphinview.cpp#0594).
That works fine except for case when one item is selected which handled in
DolphinView::requestStatusBarText(). That why I suggest to add possibility to
translate that case.

Note: this solution is just a workaround for the real issue that status bar
should be aware of interface language. Now this issue is happening in the LTR
language like English but with swapped direction.

***

STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. create two files one with name: اختبار.txt and second with test.text
2. open Dolphin in reverse mode by dolphin -reverse
3. select اختبار.txt file only and notice the status bar string position
4- select test.txt file only and notice the status bar string position

OBSERVED RESULT
status bar string is at left when test.txt is selected only.

EXPECTED RESULT
status bar string is at right whenاtest.txt is selected only.

Sorry, I wasn't accurate. Currently, I get the latest build of KDE application
on daily basis, but I don't get the latest translation from svn trunk (Arabic
Language). I notice this on the following applications (because I update the
translation in svn trunk /trunk/l10n-kf5/ar/messages, but I don't see the
translated strings in the next day build):
1- Dolphin
2- konsole
3- okular
4- gwenview
5- plasma-workspace

I hope this will help.
