To be honest, the new icon looks too much like the old one. It doesn't solve
anything and has also created a problem for current users of the program.

breeze-icons 5.101 added a new simplescreenrecorder icon. On Archlinux, after
upgrading to KDE Frameworks 5.101, the recording and pause icons of the program
have disappeared from the system tray, so there is no way to know visually
whether the program is recording or not.

Since Plasma 5.22 i have this problem too, watching undocked videos in Firefox.
