[kstars] [Bug 478270] New: 3.6.8 Stable: FlipFlat in Optical Train Crashes KStars in Flat Sequence
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=478270 Bug ID: 478270 Summary: 3.6.8 Stable: FlipFlat in Optical Train Crashes KStars in Flat Sequence Classification: Applications Product: kstars Version: unspecified Platform: Ubuntu OS: Linux Status: REPORTED Severity: crash Priority: NOR Component: general Assignee: mutla...@ikarustech.com Reporter: airbo...@me.com Target Milestone: --- Summary When FlipFlat is selected in the Optical Train for both dust cap and light panel, any attempt to generate a flat hangs KStars immediately after the "Turn light box light on..." status message. Happens both while running a sequence job or attempting a manual preview. The progress indicator in the lower right of the Capture Module says "Preparing..." I get the "force quit" dialog from Ubuntu after a short time. Curiously, the log warns about "Always Reset Sequence" enabled, but it is not enabled. I have a FlipFlat and have the optical train set correctly. If I remove the FlipFlat from the optical train config and close the cover and turn on the light manually, the sequence runs fine. [kstars] [Bug 477922] Feature Request: Pause Guiding when Capturing Flats Sequence
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=477922 --- Comment #1 from airbourn --- I should mention that the guider in this scenario is an OAG - which is why PHD2 complains. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes.
[kstars] [Bug 477922] New: Feature Request: Pause Guiding when Capturing Flats Sequence
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=477922 Bug ID: 477922 Summary: Feature Request: Pause Guiding when Capturing Flats Sequence Classification: Applications Product: kstars Version: 3.6.7 Platform: Ubuntu OS: Linux Status: REPORTED Severity: normal Priority: NOR Component: general Assignee: mutla...@ikarustech.com Reporter: airbo...@me.com Target Milestone: --- Conditions: Running a capture sequence that includes flat or dark images with an automated cap / light panel. I use a FlipFlat. Issue: When capturing an image sequence that includes flats with an INDI light cap connected, the guider (PHD2) will start it's fail logic because it can't guide anymore. Request: The Focus Module pauses guiding when it performs it's tasking. The Capture Module should do the same when it's generating flat or dark images (cap/light closed). -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes.
[kstars] [Bug 477920] New: Feature Request: Light/Cap Check in Focus and Align Modules
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=477920 Bug ID: 477920 Summary: Feature Request: Light/Cap Check in Focus and Align Modules Classification: Applications Product: kstars Version: 3.6.7 Platform: Ubuntu OS: Linux Status: REPORTED Severity: normal Priority: NOR Component: general Assignee: mutla...@ikarustech.com Reporter: airbo...@me.com Target Milestone: --- Conditions: Ekos with an INDI dust cap and/or light panel connected. Issue: Focus and Align Modules fail when dust cap or light panel are closed/on. This can happen when the Greedy Scheduler aborts a job in favor of another higher-priority job and the first job is capturing flat or dark images. Request: When running a capture sequence, the Capture Module will run a check to ensure the light panel and dust cap are in the correct positions for the type of image to be captured. I think the Focus Module and Align Module should perform a similar check before attempting to capture for their tasks. Focus and Align never need the cap closed or light on and if they are, the tasks will fail over and over. If the Greedy Scheduler is the cause, it will never resolve the situation. The cap/light has to be opened/turned off manually. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes.
