i messed with session restore some more to discover excluded applications need
„,” sign to separate them, not just space. this qualifies for another report or
rather suggestion, making this one invalid.

[plasmashell] [Bug 413358] New: Session restore doesn't remember applications environmental variables

2019-10-23 Thread alekksander
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=413358

Bug ID: 413358
Summary: Session restore doesn't remember applications
environmental variables
   Product: plasmashell
   Version: master
  Platform: Other
OS: Linux
Status: REPORTED
  Severity: normal

 Component: general

  Reporter: e...@o2.pl

  Target Milestone: 1.0

Session restore brings back applications without their variables

STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. Run „GTK_USE_PORTAL=1 apulse firefox %u”
2. Log Out from session or Restart PC while firefox running
3. Firefox is brought back without its variables. Plain „firefox”

EXPECTED RESULT
Firefox is restored the way it was launched. This case „GTK_USE_PORTAL=1 apulse
firefox %u”

This is KDE neon 5.17, but bug was occurring in 5.16, and probably 5.15 as
well.

[systemsettings] [Bug 343383] After activating mouse gestures the selected button to activate a gesture does not respond

2018-12-01 Thread alekksander
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=343383

dunno if it's the right place for further discussion about it, but easystroke
is not being developed anymore, it's not part of kde and it's crashing
sometimes too. it has rocker gestures that work only half way, but it's still
half more than kde's gestures. i've looked around for alternative, but there
seems to be none. only hope remains in fixing and developing kde gestures if
someone has the time and skills for it. unfortunately it's not me.

@tuxflo
in my case easystroke is working quite okay with RMB, no such problem as
described in this bug report. give it a try, it might work.

@tuxflo not that i know of but instead of using kde gestures someone suggested
trying easystroke. it might be a temporary solution until someone skilled fixes
what we have here.
