[plasmashell] [Bug 365618] system tray entries does not get removed after disabling them while the widgets are locked

2016-09-17 Thread avlas via KDE Bugzilla
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=365618

avlas  changed:

--- Comment #3 from avlas  ---
Also, if entries to the system tray are added while the plasma desktop is
locked, these entries are appended to plasma-org.kde.plasma.desktop-appletsrc
each time the plasma desktop (re-)starts (see example below). System tray
entries become naive to previous configuration, and old entries and their
specifications remain in plasma-org.kde.plasma.desktop-appletsrc but are not of
any use:

[Containments][6][Applets][98]
immutability=1
plugin=org.kde.plasma.volume

[Containments][6][Applets][98][Configuration][ConfigDialog]
DialogHeight=780
DialogWidth=1040

[Containments][6][Applets][98][Configuration][General]
maximumVolume=150

[Containments][6][Applets][135]
immutability=1
plugin=org.kde.plasma.volume

As there are quite a few entries in the system tray and the desktop is reload
quite frequently, this creates quite some frustration and a lot of garbage in
plasma-org.kde.plasma.desktop-appletsrc

[konqueror] [Bug 368705] Port to Qt5 and Add webEngine

2016-09-14 Thread avlas via KDE Bugzilla
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=368705

--- Comment #2 from avlas  ---
That is great news that Konqueror will be ported to Qt5 very soon!

Interesting also the news about WebKit. What is the state of WebKit, is it
still maintained and safe to use? I heard otherwise somewhere, and that
WebEngine was way better. Perhaps when I read about the migration from one to
the other in Akregator... That is why I also proposed migrating to WebEngine,
but I am not an expert at all on this matter. Could you please share your
thoughts on this?

[konqueror] [Bug 368705] New: Port to Qt5 and Add webEngine

2016-09-12 Thread avlas via KDE Bugzilla
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=368705

Bug ID: 368705
   Summary: Port to Qt5 and Add webEngine
   Product: konqueror
   Version: unspecified
  Platform: Neon Packages
OS: Linux
Status: UNCONFIRMED
  Severity: wishlist
  Priority: NOR
 Component: general
  Assignee: konq-b...@kde.org
  Reporter: jsar...@gmail.com

There is people out there still using Konqueror (The Once Great Swiss-army
Knife). We would highly appreciate if KDE would have a supported browser ported
to Qt5, powered by webEngine (Akregator has replaced webkit by webEngine
recently, I guess that work could be used).
This change would remove Qt4 dependencies and would highly improve browsing
security as well user experience. Also bunch of bugs about webpages that crash
Konqueror would be gone for good.

Reproducible: Always

[KScreen] [Bug 368471] Setting scaling does not change anything

2016-09-10 Thread avlas via KDE Bugzilla
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=368471

--- Comment #5 from avlas  ---
I tried with 1.4, so that must be it. I think a factor 2 is too big for my
system, so I rather keep it as it is for now...

Any plan of allowing for lower scaling factors?

It doesn't work properly for me yet in KDE neon user edition (it might be fixed
in dev edition though).

So far best way I can get a nice display is by forcing the font dpi.

I suffered the same before in KDE neon user edition, but didn't check it in a
while. I'll check it again and report the result here (I won't be able to test
the dev version, sorry, as this is a production system).
