Apparently, such flags already exist. Konsole's CMakeLists.txt has those lines:

option(ENABLE_PLUGIN_SSHMANAGER "Build the SSHManager plugin" ON)
option(ENABLE_PLUGIN_QUICKCOMMANDS "Build the Quick Commands plugin" ON)

Yes, you are right, I am sorry. Got too annoyed by shortcut suddenly failing.
Thanks for your work!

Sorry, I guess I wasn't clear and we aren't talking about the same thing. The
plugin indeed provides some kind of changeble shortcut. I do not care about it
because until today I was fortunate to not realize that the plugins exist.

But there are also shortcuts to show/hide plugin _panels_, and they appear to
be fixed to Ctrl+Shift+F1 and Ctrl+Shift+F2 (for “Quick commands” and “SSH
Manager” respectively). They are not listed in Konsole's Settings→Configure
Keyboard Shortcuts or anywhere else I have looked. (I am using Konsole
22.13.3.)

Upon consideration, I think I will file another bug, as it is not about SSH
Manager, but about plugins in general. Sorry.

The plugin is annoying even when it doesn't do anything. It now occupies
Ctrl+Shift+F2 shortcut, which I have been happily using for something else, and
there is no apparent way to reconfigure plugins' shortcuts.

[kwin] [Bug 455450] Slide desktop animation is slower in 5.25, especially compared to other animations

The problem is not only in the speed itself, but in the uneven pacing of the
animation. This is a direct consequence of the mass-spring-damper model: the
motion starts off parabolically (with near-constant acceleration), but slows
down exponentially (with acceleration and speed proportional to remaining
distance). Therefore, the animation will always be either too fast at the
beginning, or too slow at the end.

For all my love of physics, I would suggest dump the spring-damper model.
Sometimes the most elegant solution is not good enough. (Personally, I have
patched the SpringMotion class to output a Bezier curve instead.)

This V-shaped arrow shouldn't be here, should it?

Screenshot description

Add plasma systemmonitor widgets on the panel, such as network speed, memory
usage, etc. In the network speed component setting, after switching the display
style to text only, a downward V arrow appears in the middle of the network
speed area of the panel.

[konsole] [Bug 382116] New: konsole does not set KONSOLE_DBUS_WINDOW in sessions started with D-Bus

2017-07-08 Thread July Tikhonov
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=382116

Bug ID: 382116
   Summary: konsole does not set KONSOLE_DBUS_WINDOW in sessions
started with D-Bus
   Product: konsole
   Version: 16.12.3
  Platform: Gentoo Packages
OS: Linux
Status: UNCONFIRMED
  Severity: normal
  Priority: NOR
 Component: general
  Assignee: konsole-de...@kde.org
  Reporter: july.t...@gmail.com
  Target Milestone: ---

Normally, bash running in konsole has some related variables exported:

$ env | grep KONSOLE
KONSOLE_DBUS_SERVICE=:1.285
KONSOLE_PROFILE_NAME=Profile 1
KONSOLE_DBUS_WINDOW=/Windows/1
KONSOLE_DBUS_SESSION=/Sessions/11

However, when I start a new session with qdbus:

$ qdbus ${KONSOLE_DBUS_SERVICE} ${KONSOLE_DBUS_WINDOW} newSession

in the new session one of the variables, KONSOLE_DBUS_WINDOW, is unavailable:

$ env | grep KONSOLE
KONSOLE_DBUS_SERVICE=:1.285
KONSOLE_PROFILE_NAME=Profile 1
KONSOLE_DBUS_SESSION=/Sessions/19

Always reproducible.
If I start a new session by regular means, such as shortcut or menu, the
variable is available.

showdesktop.patch

I had the same problem (Gentoo, Plasma 5.8.6).

Attached patch for kde-plasma/kwin-5.8.6 fixes the problem for me.

(Patch note: I just stuck together some bits of code from elsewhere in file.
Could mess something else.)
