[digikam] [Bug 365745] AdobeRGB Input Profile cannot be found or used
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=365745 --- Comment #4 from wil der beest--- According to the Pop Up for Default Locations in colour management, Digikam searches in the following places: /usr/share/color/icc /usr/local/share/color/icc ~/.local/share/color/icc ~/.local/share/icc ~/.local/color/icc Hovering over defaults also has Digikam report that the following folder exists and is scanned: /usr/share/color/icc There are several profiles in subfolders of this folder, including the AdobeRGB one. Copying the AdobeRGB.icc file into this folder directly, so that it is not in a sub-folder, does not fix the problem. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes.

https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=365746 Bug ID: 365746 Summary: Operating System Menu should list "GNU+Linux", not "Linux" Product: bugs.kde.org Version: unspecified Platform: Kubuntu Packages OS: Linux Status: UNCONFIRMED Severity: major Priority: NOR Component: general Assignee: sysad...@kde.org Reporter: wilderbe...@linuxmail.org CC: she...@kde.org When filing a bug, one is asked to indicate the Operating System one is using. Included in the listings is "Linux". Linux is not an Operating System, it is a kernel. Recognition of the GNU project should be provided. The OS should be listed as "GNU+Linux". Also, KDE depends on free software, and by remembering to credit GNU one is also remembering the important principle of free software. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. Open a new bug 2. Select Operating System drop down menu 3. Actual Results: Linux is listed Expected Results: GNU+Linux should be listed as an Operating System The GNU project explains why one should use GNU+Linux here: https://www.gnu.org/gnu/why-gnu-linux.en.html GNU created the Userland. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes.
[digikam] [Bug 365745] New: AdobeRGB Input Profile cannot be found or used
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=365745 Bug ID: 365745 Summary: AdobeRGB Input Profile cannot be found or used Product: digikam Version: 5.0.0 Platform: Ubuntu Packages OS: Linux Status: UNCONFIRMED Severity: normal Priority: NOR Component: ColorManagement Assignee: digikam-de...@kde.org Reporter: wilderbe...@linuxmail.org RAW CR2 files from a Canon camera are created using AdobeRGB colour. To correctly interpret the information in the files, the appropriate input profile needs to be made available to Digikam and selected in the Colour Management section. Despite downloading ICC (International Colour Consortium) profiles and setting Digikam to the directory, the compatible with AdobeRGB.icc is not visible or available for interpreting the RAW files. Other ICC profiles are available though. ICC profiles can be downloaded following instructions here: https://scottlinux.com/2010/10/31/install-adobe-icc-profiles-in-linux/ Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. Acquire ICC files: https://scottlinux.com/2010/10/31/install-adobe-icc-profiles-in-linux/ 2. Digikam Settings: Colour Management, Set Input Profile Locations, 3. Digikam Settings: Colour Management, Set Input Profile Actual Results: In the drop down menu which displays available Input Profiles, AdobeRGB is not listed. Expected Results: It is expected that Compatible with AdobeRGB is listed in the drop down menu. AdobeRGB - has brand name restrictions Compatible with AdobeRGB - has the same information, but does not infringe brand name and is to be preferred as it is free software. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes.
