Could it be related to some bug in "(org.kde.plasma.notifications)"? Can you check if it appears in the same situation? When kwin breaks and I have the Konsole in focus I restart the service "display-manager", otherwise I connect with alt+f2. The truth is that the logs are not enlightening.
