I had the same Problem (KDE neon). The last line in console was:

> org.kde.elisa.database: DatabaseInterface::initRequest QSqlError("10", "Não
> foi possível executar a expressão", "disk I/O error")

It turned out I had no phonon backend installed.
No/Wrong error message is somewhat misleading.

Hi, I attempted to compile from source (I used this guide
https://community.kde.org/Elisa#Compilation_from_source) but eventually hit an
error that I could not get past, I've checked and both libkf5kirigami2 and
qml-module-org-kde-kirigami2 are installed on my system, so is libvlc5. I've
posted the error here in case it is of use:

-- The following OPTIONAL packages have not been found:

 * UPNPQT, UPNP layer build with Qt 5. UPnP support is currently broken. You
should probably avoid this dependency.,

-- The following RECOMMENDED packages have not been found:

 * LIBVLC, libvlc allows to play music in Elisa (otherwise it will use
QtMultimedia),

-- The following REQUIRED packages have not been found:

 * KF5Kirigami2 (required version >= 5.64.0), KF5 Kirigami 2 is needed to
provide the mobile UI components.

It would be interesting to know if anybody on Kubuntu 20.04 could compile Elisa
from source and try out 20.04 of git master. If it doesn't crash, then probably
something needs to be backported by the kubuntu packagers, because the 19.12
version shipped with that Kubuntu release is EOL.

I can confirm this behaviour.

I upgraded to 20.04 and Elisa has now replaced Cantata. I've not used Elisa
previously so I do not know if it worked on 19.10.

When I start Elisa it crashes immediately with "Executable: elisa PID: 4340
Signal: Segmentation fault (11) Time: 04/05/2020 12:49:38", it tries to load
the app (the outline of a Window appears for a moment but it closes before
anything is displayed on screen).

Oof, it's my company's machine that has this problem and my state is currently
in quarantine so I'm working from home, so it will take a few weeks before I
have access to that machine again.

However, it's true I couldn't reproduce this on a Kubuntu 20.04 VM today,
before and after updates. I'll test it on a KDE neon VM since Petro had the
same issue.

Thanks for the bug report.

Can you please install the missing debug symbols package (in particular libvlc
and elisa), reproduce the bug, and generate a new backtrace. (See
