Yes, this happened using QT 5.9.4.  Per your suggestion, I tried building
KXStitch v2.1.1, and the bug is not present.

Thank you for your quick response and the help in this issue. It is working as
it should now.

You may have come across Qt bug 65599. I found it in Qt version 5.10 but I
suspect it may affect some earlier versions.  Not sure which Qt version you
have, looks like it might be 5.9 from what I have seen.  KXStitch v2.1.0 has a
workaround for the Qt bug.  Can you try that?
