            Bug ID: 386363
Summary: Memory leak (?) in Slideshow Wallpaper
           Product: Plasma Workspace Wallpapers
           Version: 5.11.2
          Platform: Archlinux Packages
                OS: Linux
            Status: UNCONFIRMED
          Severity: major
          Priority: NOR
         Component: general
          Assignee: plasma-b...@kde.org
          Reporter: shen...@gmail.com
  Target Milestone: ---

When I enable the slideshow wallpaper in Plasma my computer becomes unusable
(reaction to user input takes an awful lot time, UI basically freezes) and the
harddisk is accessed excessively. When I manage to execute a "killall
plasmashell", the system becomes usable again. To me this seems to be caused by
a memory leak inside the plasmashell process.

Steps to reproduce:
1. Enable the wallpaper plugin
2. Set the update interval to 1 second
2. Wait...

Observed behavior:
The system doesn't react to user input any more, the HDD thrashes.

Expected behavior:
No matter how long plasma runs with the slideshow wallpaper plugin active, the
system should always react to user input and the HDD shouldn't thrash. (Well,
Plasma should actually just not be the reason for that ;) )
