            Bug ID: 420533
Summary: Make "saving on export" optional
           Product: Spectacle
           Version: unspecified
          Platform: unspecified
                OS: unspecified
            Status: REPORTED
          Severity: wishlist
          Priority: NOR
         Component: General
          Assignee: m...@baloneygeek.com
          Reporter: lug...@earthblue.fr.nf
                CC: k...@david-redondo.de
  Target Milestone: ---

In previous versions, when exporting images to other applications (GIMP for
example), Spectacle used to store screenshots in temporary files. Nowadays,
Spectacle automatically saves the screenshot in the screenshot directory
*before* opening it in the application.

While I can see the use case, this precise behavior disrupt my workflow :
almost every screenshot I take goes through GIMP for cropping and annotating
the screenshots before I copy and paste it into another application. This means
that I almost never want to save the intermediate image (and when I do I click
on "Save"), and since I don't want to regularly clean up my screenshots I end
up using the "Copy to clipboard" button and manually launch GIMP, which defeats
the point of the "Export" button.

If possible, an option in the setting to select between the old and new
behavior would be fairly nice.
