Thanks for the answer, Justin! I've tested this on openSUSE 15.2 with:
- Qt 5.12.7
- Plasma 5.18.5
- Frameworks 5.71.0
- Applications 20.04.2
- Akregator 5.14.2

It seems everything is fine, so I guess this was fixed a long time ago.
