This actually seems to be working in 2.9.71, it'd seem it fetches from Last.fm,
but not completely sure.

technically it is, as it used to work before, the regression is caused by

Sadly all the sites we used for cover downloading in the past have either
changed their conditions or their code, so the whole Cover fetching doesn't
work anymore
