Also, how is it that a bug that totally prevents apper from working is only "importance: normal"? This bug, all by itself, pretty much renders Debian a non-option for anyone who's not comfortable with apt-get on the command line. Also, also, does the fix (https://invent.kde.org/network/kdenetwork-filesharing/-/merge_requests/47/diffs) for 472145 apply here? Then click "Edit Application" in the context menu. Go to the "Application" tab. Click on "Advanced Options". Then, tick/check the box saying "Run as different user".
