Marble is the software component to show map in digiKam. With the 8.3.0 and the port to Qt6, i backported the necessary Marble code in digiKam core, as Marble team do not plan to seriously port the code to Qt6. So i do it myself, and i cleaned the code for the strict usage in digiKam. In Marble stand alone application (qt5 version) there is an option to show Wikipedia information as an overlay on the map: https://i.imgur.com/u9GN8ow.png In digiKam 8.3.0 i don't yet backported the wikipedia plugin, but i can do it if there is a real needs.
