            Bug ID: 415880
Summary: Add a way to easily correct a face name
           Product: digikam
           Version: 7.0.0
          Platform: Appimage
                OS: Linux
            Status: REPORTED
          Severity: wishlist
          Priority: NOR
         Component: Faces-Engine
          Assignee: digikam-bugs-n...@kde.org
          Reporter: nic...@tuxfamily.org
  Target Milestone: ---

SUMMARY
If you erroneously name an 'unknown' or 'unconfirmed' face, it is difficult to
correct the name easily (e.g. correct "Peter" by "Jack").

What I tried:

1) in People view, right-click on the erroneously named face > Assign Tag >
select correct name: not a good idea because this will well add the tag to the
picture but not to the face itself (behaviour that I understand: this option
refers to tags in general and not to face tag)

2) drag and drop the erroneously named face to the correct People tag (in
People view): does not allow to correct the name but only offers the option
"Assign Tag(s) 'xx' to Item" in a popup list

3) to rename the face, I have to open the picture ("Preview" mode), click on
the name and then correct it.
-> it would be nice if it was possible to change the name from the "Thumbnails"
mode (in people view) (without opening the picture in "Preview" mode)

SUGGESTIONS
1) in People view, right-click -> add an option "Change face name"
2) allow that the drag and drop renames the face by adding an option in the
popup list "Rename face to 'xx'" (as already suggested in bug #415879)
