These never update to show only the last icons related to your last operation. I understand this is a feature: to highlight icons in bulk/batch operations; however, it keeps icons selected in the entire history of what you're doing, unless you click in the blank area. It could help to only highlight (select) icons of files/folders that where done in the last "job", and if job history is important (hidden feature i may be unaware of) -then underline those - unless clicked in the blank area of course.
