At some point before this I could also no longer see the thumbnails on a remote folder containing media, and this is still the case. In a folder mounted via sftp, folder thumbnails are not generated even if it's configured in the settings. I noticed that the thumbnail function works for files up to 1.5GB in size. As soon as the files are 1.6GB or larger, no thumbnail is created. It does not matter which thumbnail function it is. With the movies via ffmpegThumbs or with a third party plugin (MovieThumbs) it is exactly the same behavior. In the Dolphin setting I have set the maximum of 999 MB for "Skip previews for remote files above". However, this does not affect the limit of 1.5/1.6GB. I would really love an update on weather this is being looked at, otherwise I might need to look at other file manager options.
