Bug ID: 431582 Summary: Set double click in touchpad by default Product: frameworks-kconfig Version: unspecified Platform: Neon Packages OS: Linux Status: REPORTED Severity: wishlist Priority: NOR Component: general Assignee: matt...@mjdsystems.ca Reporter: adrlop...@gmail.com CC: kdelibs-b...@kde.org Target Milestone: --- SUMMARY Hi! I'm not a developer, but I have a little idea respect to the settings of touchpad. By default, the touchpad only recognizes left-click and right-click, but not double-click unless user change this settings. I think it would be more user-friendly to set double click in touchpad by default (if single-click is set before) because many users may think KDE Plasma isn't totally compatible with their device or that device doesn't work properly. I had this idea when, recently, I installed KDE NEON on a friend's laptop and she thought her touchpad didn't work. STEPS TO REPRODUCE 1. Setup a fresh KDE NEON install 2. Set a single-click in touchpad settings. 3. Try to open a file or folder. OBSERVED RESULT File or folder doesn't open or run. EXPECTED RESULT File or folder should open or run. SOFTWARE/OS VERSIONS Operating System: KDE neon 5.20 KDE Plasma Version: 5.20.5 KDE Frameworks Version: 5.78.0 Qt Version: 5.15.2 Kernel Version: 5.4.0-60-generic OS Type: 64-bit Processors: 16 × AMD Ryzen 7 3700X 8-Core Processor Memory: 31.4 GiB of RAM Graphics Processor: Radeon RX 580 Series -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes.
