Bug ID: 479685 Summary: wl-copy copies text to the wrong clipboard Classification: Frameworks and Libraries Product: frameworks-kwayland Version: 5.248.0 Platform: Gentoo Packages OS: Linux Status: REPORTED Severity: normal Priority: NOR Component: general Assignee: mgraess...@kde.org Reporter: lukas@polacek.email CC: kwin-bugs-n...@kde.org Target Milestone: --- SUMMARY When running e.g. `wl-copy <<< "Test"`, the word "Test" does not appear in Klipper, nor can it be pasted anywhere using Ctrl-V or right click menu. I can see the text "Test" in neovim's registers, in the "+" register or the "*" register (if using `-p`), so it goes to a clipboard but apparently the wrong one. STEPS TO REPRODUCE 1. Run wl-copy, e.g. `echo "Test" | wl-copy` or `wl-copy <<< "Test"` 2. Press Ctrl-C or right click and choose "Copy". OBSERVED RESULT The word "Test" is not pasted. EXPECTED RESULT The word "Test" should be pasted. SOFTWARE/OS VERSIONS Linux/KDE Plasma: Plasma 6 RC 1 KDE Plasma Version: 5.92.0 KDE Frameworks Version: 5.248.0 (mixed with some 5.113.0 still needed for KDE Gear) Qt Version: 6.6.1 ADDITIONAL INFORMATION -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes.
