The feature could be similar to what desktop wallpaper slideshow does, by making a list with all the images in all the directories below a root directory and showing them one by one. Currently, Gwenview enters in full screen mode at such attempt... This came up in https://forum.kde.org/viewtopic.php?f=213&t=142327 recently, too. Note there's also bug 209655 which concerns the same thing for the Browse mode.
