I'm not really sure what you are doing. Are you saying that opening a specific image works fine when it is located in a particular directory, but crashes Gwenview when it is located in another directory? What do you mean exactly with "changing home directory"? As for the crash, please install debugging symbols and resubmit the backtrace (see https://community.kde.org/Guidelines_and_HOWTOs/Debugging/How_to_create_useful_crash_reports). Lastly: > Could not get a valid KFileMetaInfo instance That string has been removed from Gwenview's source for version 17.04 with https://phabricator.kde.org/R260:047bc063ec5c21f3bed9fcdc6667892efe6dd8db.
