Dear Bug Submitter,

This bug has been in NEEDSINFO status with no change for at least 15 days.

In Kate 17.08.3 (Kubuntu 18.04) the problem seems to be fixed, but in Kate
17.08.3 (Debian Unstable) the problem is still present. Same words get
underlined as in 16.08.3.

Are you able to reproduce this with a more recent version of Kate? Since you're
using Debian Testing, hopefully the version available to you is now a bit
newer; can you re-test?

Possibly related: https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=386611? However, I'm not
sure if this is the same issue as Kile is underlining both too much and too
little: it fails to underline words which are incorrect, as well as underlining
words which are correct.
