            Bug ID: 413124
           Summary: KDE Connect won't connect.
           Product: kdeconnect
           Version: 1.3.5
          Platform: Other
                OS: Linux
            Status: REPORTED
          Severity: critical
          Priority: NOR
         Component: common
          Assignee: albertv...@gmail.com
          Reporter: leftcr...@tutanota.com
  Target Milestone: ---

[Marking as critical since this bug breaks the software entirely.]

SUMMARY
This is a continuation of the story in Bug 400010 where KDE would crash when
the connection got interrupted. And it would keep crashing until you rebooted
both devices.

Now, it no longer crashes but it will still drop the connection at some point
after working for a few days and then NEVER re-establish the connection EVER
again. So for at least the past month of constantly running KDE connect on both
the PC and the phone - as well as rebooting both devices, reinstalling the
software and disabling firewall - the two devices haven't never discovered each
other on the network. In fact, the PC wasn't visible on the network at all.

As described in Bug 400010, the issue seems to arise after several cycles of
enabling/disabling VPN and suspeding/resuming the machine (though I can't be
sure obviously). Can KDE connect even be used with VPN software, or is there a
fundamental conflict between the two by design?

A google search shows that KDE Connect not Connecting is a problem that's as
old as KDE Connect itself, and there are apparently no self-fixes for it.

(SIDE NOTE: Is bluetooth connectivity planned or is that out of scope for this
project?)
